2. The concept and meaning
People in cities are busy, getting thousands impressions, doing a lot of
things at the same time. Nothing Space gives within this world of being
busy a moment of surprise, harmony and dreaming. A moment for them-
selves. Looking at the beauty of amazing structure and light. Nothing
Space combines the structure and light of cities in a totally innovative and
surprising way.
Nothing Space is a subtle, harmonious coloured sculpture and has to be
discovered. From the outside it makes people curious to go in and discover
its beauty.
I am creating Nothing Spaces because I am convinced people need every
day moments of dreaming, of reflecting of nothing.

Technique
The sculpture is made from aluminium tubes (diameter 3 cm) welded in
combination with specially constructed tubes with holes showing coloured
light from inside.
The sculpture is coated in different harmonious colours. Darker inside. Ligh-
ter outside. The colours of the (LED)light will be adapted to the colours of
the sculpture. The light shows as lightlines (see above).
Outside size of the sculpture: 3 mtr high, 7 x 7 mtr.
Positioning
Bailianjing Park, preferrably on the lawn.

Way of production
The sculpture can be produces in parts, transported by sea and put
up locally. It is also possible to produce the sculpture in Shanghai in
the presence of the artist.
