- Introduction to this evening….. Start with an overview of what we plan to do in terms of P7 transition and why This will include two presentations, one from Outward Bound partner, the other from two of our S4 Ambassadors, David and Kayla. Finally looking at how we aim to achieve our goal

- Cluster working group organising our approach to transition Working closely with all primary headteachers, staff, parent councils to organise different aspects of the transition programme. A partnership approach. Familiarisation with the school Taster experience as always in Kilwinning Academy for two days – meets curricular needs Outward Bound experience – Build trust and develop relationships through wonderful shared experiences. Really get to know yourself and overcome challenges. More from our 12 S4 Ambassadors who will be working to support and mentor the P7 students and really getting to know them over the course of the year.
- all children and young people are participating in a range of progressive and creative outdoor learning experiences which are clearly part of the curriculum • schools and centres are providing regular, frequent, enjoyable and challenging opportunities for all children and young people to learn outdoors throughout their school career and beyond • teachers and educators embed outdoor learning in the curriculum so that learning in the outdoor environment becomes a reality for all children and young people.
- We recognise that we can do even better…. Already closer working in the cluster. We are building trust across the cluster which in turn means information shared better and ultimately a better transition for all pupils, our ultimate goal. An incredible, memorable and valuable experience for, we hope, every single student who is coming to Kilwinning Academy. A fitting end to primary and a very positive and exciting start to secondary.
