organisation was looking to recruit 2 Senior Strategic Deal Executives to develop €100m + deals
with large corporate organisations throughout a) Germany and b) Netherlands. Dealing directly
with the Senior Vice President we identified 3 candidates for each role through a combination of
headhunting, referral generation from our database and professional networking sites. Both roles
were filled with the candidate for the Netherlands securing a package that included a fixed salary

US SOFTWARE VENDOR – This US provider of integration software has a product offering that
encompasses EAI, SOA, BPM and SaaS. They are a global organisation looking to expand
across Europe and since November 2007 they have asked Robson Taylor to assist with their
European expansion. This has resulted in 8 placements which have been generated by a
combination of contingent and retained searches dependant on location and has resulted in
positions for Senior Sales Professionals being filled in:- Germany x 5, France x 2 and Belgium x

11. GERMAN SOFTWARE VENDOR – This publicly quoted software vendor provides modular Java
based software for use within the insurance sector. Planned expansion and the fact that they had
no new business wins for a period of 2 years had necessitated the recruitment of a Sales
Director to take responsibility for a team of 10 Account Managers. We undertook a targeted
headhunt campaign based on the sector experience required and the desired location of
Hamburg. A referral from our existing database provided the suitable applicant who commenced
employment with our client in August 2009 on a €130K fixed salary with an OTE of €180K.
SUPPLY CHAIN SOFTWARE VENDOR – Our client was looking to recruit a Sales Director to
manage a team of 5 Sales Executives and 3 Pre-Sales Consultants across Europe as well as
develop sales of their supply chain management software solutions within the manufacturing and
retail sectors. The Executive Director for EMEA’s specification for this role was very specific in
relation to location, age, technology, language skills and managerial experience. A headhunting
campaign resulted in the successful applicant being sourced from a direct competitor and
commencing employment on a €125K salary with an OTE of €175K.
12. GERMAN BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SOFTWARE PROVIDER – This rapidly expanding
software provider has 50 employees across Germany including 11 Sales Professionals. Their
CEO asked us to find them a VP of Sales and Marketing with the following skill set a) fluent in
German and English b) a 5 year track record in international sales management c) experience
selling within the business intelligence space. A combination of targeted search and database
referral work resulted in a referral being generated who met the clients criteria and commenced
employment with them in early 2009 on a €100K fixed salary with an OTE of €200K.
EMBEDDED SOFTWARE VENDOR – This innovative software vendor provides embedded
software solutions for use within the high tech manufacturing sector. Planned growth
necessitated the recruitment of a Major Account Manager to develop sales with high tech device
manufacturers throughout Germany. A contingent search resulted in the successful candidate
being attracted via a professional networking site and commencing employment in August 2009
on an €80K basic salary with OTE of €160K.
13. DATA CENTRE CONNECTIVITY SOLUTIONS – This NASDAQ quoted provider of data
Connectivity solutions has an offering that encompasses co-location services, data centre
monitoring and inter connection services. They were looking to further develop sales with ISP’s
and telecommunications network providers in tandem with systems integrators throughout
Germany . We were given the remit of sourcing a Key Account Manager to be based from their
Frankfurt office on a retained search basis. A combination of headhunting and referral generation
resulted in the identification of the successful applicant who commenced work in August 2009 on
a €90K basic with an OTE of €140K.

mid 2008 until now to identify and recruit two Strategic Deal Executives in Europe. Deal Executives
are in my terms Sales Executives for identifying, qualifying, shaping and closing large Outsourcing
opportunities in Europe. Target offering portfolio is Data Centre Services, Desktop Services, Network
Services and Application Outsourcing on an international scale and with a Total Contract Volume of
