By: Keaire Reese William ShakespeareLove and Hate
William Shakespeare write plays, novels, and poems. He had several different writing styles. Shakespeare wrote about love and hate. He wrote several tragedies. He a style of writing known as a blank verse. The Writings
The sonnets were encouraged with the Renaissance culture. In the sonnets Shakespeare incorporated many different feelings. It is about the feelings and the affections of an older friend for a younger friend. The sonnets
Shakespeare’s first plays were written in the conventional style of the day. His poetry was based on metaphors and conceits. This language is often rhetorical. Shakespeare soon began to adopt his own traditional style of writing. The blank verse of his early plays is very different than the blank verse of the poems in his later days. “It is often very beautiful but is has the risk of monotony,” states Wikipedia. This is because his sentences tend to start, pause, and finish at the end of lines. After he mastered the blank verse he began to vary the flow. This made his work have more and a new power and more flexibility. Shakespeare’s first works
Romeo and Juliet is a play based on love. At the beginning of the play Romeo was In love with Rosaline. According to About.com, “this was an immature infatuation.” Lee Jamieson also states, “that Romeo’s love for Rosaline is shallow And nobody really believes that it will last, including Friar Laurence.” . In the beginning Juliet was going to marry Paris. In the play Romeo and Juliet love could be fate. Even though they both were in love with someone else they somehow managed to find each other and fall in love. There were different types of love in Romeo and Juliet other than just theirs. This love is friendship. There were several friendships in this play. There was a close relationship between Juliet and her nurse. Also there was a close relationship between Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio. Romeo and juliet
This caused Mercutio to lose his life. There was another love in the play of Romeo and Juliet. This love was between Juliet’s nurse and Mercutio. There love is a romantic love just like Romeo and Juliet. There is a lot of love in this play. Romeo and juliet (con’t)
Othello is one of Shakespeare famous tragedies. R. Moore states that, “is set in a private world and focuses on the passions and personal lives of its major figures Indeed, it has often been described as a "tragedy of character"; Othello's swift descent into jealousy and rage and Iago's dazzling display of villainy have long fascinated students and critics of the play.” In this play Othello was the hero and Largo was a diabolical villain. Othello sees the infidelity of his wife, Desdemona, because of Iago. In this play Iago tears Othello down by doing several things. Iago destroys Othello from the inside out. He turns Othello against some his men. For example Othello put Michael Cassio down at his wedding feast. Othello does this because Iago got Cassio drunk and the whole time he was trying to make it seem as if there was something going on between Cassio and Desdemona. othello
In the end Othello has his down fall and his wife is murdered. This is two tragedies in one. Othello lost everything including his wife. This play implies a tragedy, love, and hate all in one. It shows love because Othello loved his wife. The hate comes from the fact that Othello and Iago both hate each. Also Roderigo hates Othello because he believes that Othello tricked Desdemona to fall in love with him. It is a tragedy because Othello falls and his wife gets murdered. Othello (con’t)
All of Shakespeare work is amazing. He has a lot of different moods to his writings. He writes about love and hate. He writes about tragedies. Some on his work has happy ending while others don’t. Shakespeare is known highly for being a romanticist. He is a romantic poet and play writer. He incorporates love into a lot of his work. Even his tragedies have a little to do with love. He uses different types of . Friendship is also one type of love that he likes to use. He also uses hatred a lot. For example in Taming of the Shrew the lady hated just about everyone. In Othello there was a lot of hate. Othello and Iago hated each other. All the writings of Shakespeare have different moods. Conclusion
