“Feel as Cool as
a Las Vegas Star”
Promotion for the 36° Bar
Brief In the style of existing branding, design produce various advertising collateral for a tie-in promotion with Star City’s
36° Bar a visiting star from TV show “Las Vegas”.
Responsibilities Concept design of the “Ice Dice”, a pair of clear dice showing 3 6.
Design finished artwork for all promotional advertising including brochures, ads, posters, taxi-backs, coasters,
postcards (with spot varnish foil) Star City’s internal screens foyer display.
The client also had the ice dice made from perspex to permanently sit on the bar.
Design finished artwork for “Night/Day” bus shelter advertising with the regular poster showing in daylight a second
poster behind adding an extra visual component, green liquid in a martini glass, when lit from behind at night (see below
centre).
For a later promotion with Sydney FC I created an ice soccer ball all POS advertising components.

“Be Starstruck / Shoot for
the Stars” Promotion
Brief With the new No Smoking restrictions coming into play, Star City decided to increase the prize money to $1 million
have a bigger-than-usual promotion casino-wide to draw record customers maximise the length of their visits.
Together with the 20:20 Account Manager for Star City, we both worked closely with the Star City team on this
extensive project.
Responsibilities Concept design of the promotion name, look taglines as well as a glamorous way for the money would be
given away: a glitzy “game show” on centre stage called “Shoot for the Stars”.
Design, illustrations finished artwork for all advertising promotional collateral as well as inhouse screens
foyer display.

Brief A project management company requested a redesign of their corporate style needed a high quality company
profile brochure designed printed.
Responsibilities Design, finished artwork, print production client liaison for new brand identity brochure. Design elements were
also used on their new website.
The high quality brochure was digitally printed with spot varnishes, foil translucent vellum spotted throughout.

Clip Strips Product Range
Brief Pitch for the new business of Clip Strips for Big W.
Responsibilities Initial logo branding design including sourcing directing models for a photoshoot to make up logo character.
Create composite of those images to make up final “Ms Fix-It” character.
Design initial presentation of full range of 120 mocked up products, creating supermarket “aisles” in A. Royale’s
boardroom hanging mocked up product range on clip strips to give full in-store impact.
Upon winning the business, creating all packaging finished artwork including design of some packaging construction
knifelines. Then all packaging design finished artwork for new product releases each quarter.
Research uses how-to’s to create product diagram illustrations instructions for use.
Travelling to China to research source packaging printers then returning to do press checks.
Researching, sourcing purchasing photographic equipment for new internal studio.
Learning product photography which I then taught to the other designers for use on their projects.

Brief For Big W, design packaging POS for $5-$10 seasonal gifting lines for Christmas, Mother’s Father’s Day.

embellishments.

Working closely with the printer as stability cost were issues, the
illustration for the finished artwork was created as a Photoshop DCS

Brief Concept for instore POS needing to hold maximum stock where space was available but also needing more
compact versions for smaller stores, all to a tight budget.
Responsibilities Design, concept finished artwork for modular POS, composed of interchangeable sections for easy construction
of flexible standee dumpbin arrangements.
