Did You Know 2 The members of C Troop did an outstanding job on a host of assignments last
Calendars 3 month. Nine soldiers traveled to Fort Polk to assist 2nd Brigade during their rotation at
Websites 4 the Joint Readiness Training Center in Louisiana. Soldiers also helped the squadron by
Phone Numbers 4 supporting Ghost Avalanche 2, a training event that qualified A and B Troop on their
wartime missions. Although some soldiers were in the field for much of March, others
were able to hone their fitness level by engaging in physical training twice a day. From the
swamps of Louisiana to the waning months of winter at Fort Drum, Charlie Troop pro-
vided support for some of the Brigade’s most valuable training.
The month of April will bring a time of increased tempo. With platoon level live
fire exercises occurring in the last two weeks of April, soldiers will frequently be in the
field. A brief respite in training during the month of May will segue into early June train-
ing for the Expert Infantryman Badge. As always, C Troop will set the standard for train-
ing readiness.

As most of you know, I will be stepping down this month because we are relocat-

Family Welcome my first letter is also my last. I want to personally thank C Troop. I am excited for a new
Tour at ACS adventure, but sad to leave such a great troop. Over the past several years I have been
privileged with the opportunity to work with great leadership, to be acquainted with

ups accomplish when they join together, not only in times of fun, but also in times of tragedy.
I wish you all the best throughout your coming years, and hope that when you look back,
you feel as lucky as I do to have been a part of such a wonderful group. Thank you.

2. March and April FRG Meetings
The March FRG meeting took place at Stefano’s restaurant in Carthage. The ladies
of C troop had a great night out, with delicious food and good times. No new information
was handed out, as this meeting was meant to enjoy each other’s company and to get to
know one another better.
The April FRG meeting will take place on Thursday, April 12th at 6pm in the
squadron classroom. This will be Kim’s, our FRG leader, last meeting before the Waldrops
travel to Fort Hood, Texas. Please come out to receive information about the transition
