2. There are lots of films made to seem
attractive or interesting, even when they are
not. This can be done in several ways:
Movie posters
TV advertisements
The cast or crew of the movie
Teaser trailers
Word of mouth
3. To create a buzz about our film, we created
movie poster ideas that we gave to people,
kind of like fliers.
The next slide shows one idea for our movie
poster, created using images from our movie
and of our actors, as well as location.
4.
5. We used a cast of young adult and teenage
actors, one of whom works within an acting
group, to increase professionalism.
The crew were also around the target
audience age, allowing us to have a better
view of what our viewers might want.
The genders of our cast were mixed which
gave the audience a bit of what everyone
wanted, according to target group research.
6. We told a lot of people about our movie,
without revealing any details
This meant there was a buzz through social
networking too, because our news then got
published on sites such as Facebook, creating
more of a hype about the product.
7. Our Facebook page was used to advertise our
Media product through posting information
such as our production splash on there.
This allowed a viral buzz to be developed
through others commenting on Facebook or
‘retweeting’ our news on Twitter
It also meant we could keep our audience
informed, without giving away too much.
8. We used the fact that we were the same age
as our target audience to our advantage
We used techniques such as the fight scene
camera angles in ways that we knew we liked
in the films we watched
We used online advertising and word of
mouth with our friends and families to help
address the issue of publicising the movie
too.
