The Partner Network of Information Professionals (PARTSIP) aims to
strengthen the cooperation among tertiary education institutions,
research institutions, and public as well as private sectors in the Czech
Republic. It is a platform for a support of other joint projects and
interbranch cooperation.

4. NAKLIV
The National Cluster of Information Education (NAKLIV) is a project
realized with support from OP Education for Competitiveness (Priority
axis 2.4). It focuses on the support and improvement of effective
cooperation, sharing of materials and exchange of findings from
practice among institutions realizing information education.

5. ACROSS
The Academic Center for the Development of Soft Skills (ACROSS) is
an information-support centre for students of Information and Library
Studies interested in the personal and social development related to
the preparation for a future employment. It prepares new courses
aimed at the development of soft skills.

7. Inflow.cz
Inflow.cz aims at fulfilling the vision of a lively field e-zine. It supports
the creation and distribution of articles by young authors which tend to
be of high quality standards. Under different conditions, these articles
either would not be written, or there would be no chance of reaching a
larger expert and professional public.

8. Beth
Beth is an alternative electronic library catalogue of the University’s
faculties of Arts, Social Studies, Economics and Administration, and
Education. It has been created to offer to its users opportunities to:
take part in the creation and editing of document records,
insert new book records and WWW pages,
sort them according to individual needs,
exchange opinions with other users,
recommend purchases of books to the library.

10. Kwído
Kwído is a students’ orgranization established upon a completion of
the course Creative Workshop. It deals with Information and Library
Studies students’ free-time activities (games, walks, cultural activities
and others) and events at the Division. It also helps disadvantaged
citizens in the form of volunteering and fund-raising campaigns.

INFOKON 2009 is a students’ nation-wide conference which aims to

12. LibFFest
A festival of student films with library topics. Each year, more than ten
films compete for the jury’s favour and broad public’s excitement: with
their style, ideas and acting. Jury and audience prizes are announced
each year.

14. Guerilla Readers
The GR team consists of seven gorillas who do not ape and who
cooperate in more than their banana-style. The aim of the project is

The project “Transformation of high school libraries to vibrant

23. The project Audioknihy (Audiobooks) aims at raising the public’s
general awareness of the existence of audiobooks. Audiobooks may
become objects of interest to many groups as a complement or a
possible alternative to standard reading. They can be listened to by
non-readers, visually impaired persons and pre-school children.

24. e-LKA
The aim of the e-LKA Project is to create an e-learning course of
English for reference librarians in municipal libraries in towns of
approximately 10,000 inhabitants and university libraries in South
Moravia.
The ability to use English has become a necessity especially for
people who work in information services. The e-LKA e-learning course
offers language skills which librarians can use in their everyday work.

25. Course in Work with Information
The project Course in Work with Information is a reaction to an
increasing need to build students’ information literacy. Its goal is to

The portal of support services follows the contemporary trend in higher
