Personalise your profile
Your profile on JustGiving is where you can tell your story
and people can show they care about your cause –
they can like, share, give or fundraise with just one click.
Let’s take a look at how you can make it look its best!
4. Personalise your profile
This is the page people go to when they
want to start giving or raising money for
you, so we recommend adding the
following content so you can give it a
personal touch:

What’s an impact statement?
Your impact statement is your charity's short
story – what you do and why you do it in 80
characters.
It's short and snappy so it's easy to share on
social media and mobile phones. That means
when people share their donation or
fundraising page on social media, your story
fits easily in a tweet or Facebook share.
TOP TIPS
Use keywords about your cause – your
impact statement is split into two, so try to
include keywords about your cause in both parts.
Think about your potential audience – what do
people need to know and what would make them care
about your cause?
Be specific – space is tight so avoid complicated,
long words. Use simple and emotive language that
gets to the point and has impact.

How to add your donation prompts
• Log in and click on Fundraising tools.
• Select Donation prompts.
What are donation prompts?
Donation prompts (sometimes known as a
‘shopping list’) help people understand the
potential impact of their donation and allow you
to suggest how much they should give.
For example:
$10 would buy a coat for one of our dogs
at a rehoming centre
$20 would vaccinate a dog against
infectious diseases
$100 would neuter a dog helping prevent
unwanted puppies
