1. Beginner's Guide To Creating A Squeeze Page

This is the 1st part of quot;Learn Build Squeeze Page: Beginner's Guide to Online
Successquot;. There are a couple of reasons why I want start a series on this,
here are the reasons:

 Squeeze Page Is Easy To Create

Squeeze Page is a one page website (or two with the privacy page if
included) it need not have too much content to be on the website. For
some beginners, it is much better for them as sometimes they do not
have a lot of content to share yet, when they first started out.

 Squeeze Page is Being Focused

Because it is a one page website, what your little content on the
squeeze page is only meant for the specific market you are targeting
only. And it also helps to brand you as an expert in your niche in a
way.

 Squeeze Page Generates Repeated Traffic

You may have heard some of the famous Internet marketers making
over 100 thousands in a day, some even hit 1 million in a day, it is the
leads they had gather over the years that help them to create results
like that, plus some help from the other successful Internet marketers
as well.

This is also one of the biggest mistakes for newbies in Internet
marketing, is that they did not capture the names and emails of their
traffic.

Repeating traffic is the best traffic you can get from the Internet, as
you can always send them an email and they will go to the website
you direct them to. It is that simple.

 Squeeze Page Turns You into An Expert

Because you are only talking about a specific niche only, all the more
you will want to study or gather information about this niche to help or
satisfy your leads.

For many newbies in Internet marketing, they will always forget or do
not want to use capture their targeted traffic name and email. Reason
one they do not want to invest in an auto-responder, second is that
they do not know how, third is that they do not want to follow up.

Lead capture is the best way for a newbie to succeed in Internet
marketing.

In the next few parts, I will be going through with you on a step by
step walk through with pictures to help you visualize.

Creating a squeeze page for a beginner is not just a basic for them,
but also helps them to build leads that will generate real passive
income in the days to come. It's going to be fun!

2. Tools You Need To Create Squeeze Page

This is the second part of quot;Learn Build Squeeze Page: Beginner's Guide to
Online Successquot;. Today we will be talking about the items you need to start
creating a squeeze page.

Do note that if you do not have any of those, building a lasting Internet
empire will not be easy.

Some are free, some are not, if you are really serious in making money
online as a passive business, you must disregard all the past stories about
not investing any money into an online business. The truth is that they did
invest some money into this online business.

Here are the items you must have in creating a squeeze page:

Website Creation Software: You can use DreamWeaver, or any high end
website creation software if you know how to use them. But for this, I will
recommend something free and easy to use, it’s called Kompozer. It's an
upgrade version of the old NVU and a much better software. Of course there
are others like Microsoft FrontPage, which is free also. But for now, I will be
using Kompozer for this series.

FTP Software: Also known as File Transfer Protocol, it is use to transfer file
to your web hosting. After you have complete the squeeze page, it is use to
transfer to the web server, and your shop will be open then. The one I
recommend is Filezilla, it is free too and I will be using it throughout the

series post.


Web Hosting Server: This is the place where your website is stored after
completion. This will not be free, and although there are free hosting
available, but I will not recommend using them. Because you are limited to a
lot of technical aspect and they might put advertisement on your squeeze
page too, which is not appropriate for you as an expert in your own field.
The one I recommend is HostGator.

Auto-responder: This is where you store your lead's names and emails. It
is a third party service where they pay Google, Yahoo, MSN and other
smaller search engines that are able to provide free mail services for people
to use emails. The reason why they are paying them is that through them,
you are able to go through to your leads email box rather than in their junk
or spam folder, which is good for you as most of the people do not check the
spam folder at all.

An auto-responder system is one of the best investments you can make - it
will cost you less than USD $20 per month to use their services. There are
cheaper ones but I will recommend the easiest to use and most reliable ones
to you. They are GetResponse and Aweber, these two are currently the most
reliable used by Internet Marketers now. For now, I will be using
GetResponse for the series posts.

Domain Name: This is the name or URL of your website. It is like an
address of your website in cyberspace, where people can search for you. I
have written a post on choose a good domain name for your website
previously for your reference.

This is not free you will have to pay annually to the domain name company
for using the domain name. The domain name company which I recommend
to buy from is GoDaddy.com and NameCheap.com.

That will be all for today, go download and sign up for these software and
tools that will help you in creating a squeeze page. If you have not purchase
these few tools today, even if I go through with you on future posts, you will
still unable to complete a squeeze page that works. Go on and purchase

3. Compose Your Squeeze Page Content
In this new part of quot;Learn Build Squeeze Page: Beginner's Guide to Online
Successquot;, we will be touching on composing or writing the content for your squeeze
page.

Many Internet marketers have different version of a good squeeze page, like it
must be long in the content, a video in the squeeze page speaks a thousand words.
These are good marketing ways to make sure the traffic subscribe to your mailing
list.

For now, you will need to follow my steps as this is for the beginners; here are what
makes a squeeze page to work well:

• Short Web Page

• Attention Grabbing Headline and Sub Headline

• List of Benefits

• Picture of Bonus

Short Web Page

A little secret about what most people will do when visiting a website: they do not
stroll down the web page. Yes you heard me, they do not stroll down the webpage,
and actually around 60% ~ 70% of the traffic do not stroll down your webpage.
That is why your squeeze page must be short, focus and compelling.

Attention Grabbing Headline and Sub Headline

A good headline makes you want to read what is in the content, and that is what
you must achieve in your future websites too. Have you ever read a newspaper that
has an attention grabbing headline that you continue to complete reading the whole
content? Everyone who reads newspaper will always do that, right? A tip in writing
a headline, make sure that it is not too long, more than 20 words is long, less than
that is okay.

List of Benefits

You must tell your subscribers to-be what are the benefits of giving you their name
and email. A good example will be like, you will learn what I did to achieve 20%
loss in weight within a month, how I maintain my weight even if I did not exercise,
how I get energize easily without exercising, etc… These are like previews of what
you will learn after they subscribe to your mailing list. Do not write more than 6
benefits or your subscriber to-be do not believe what you wrote, and it will also
make the web page longer too.

Picture of Bonus

This is use to show your subscriber to-be what they will be getting after subscribing
to your mailing list. The bonuses can a Private Label Right Ebook or videos, which
you purchased from other Internet marketers. Take note that you will need to
understand what you can do with the PLR, if it states that you cannot give it away
for free, then you may have to write a 10 ~ 20 page report on your niche, and give
it as a bonus. As for the picture you can find it in the folder when you purchased it,
if you wrote it, then you may have to get your graphic designer friends to help you.

Scarcity Marketing

This is the part where you need to add in time scarcity into it. As most people will
take action when there is a time limit to it, it happen to me always, and it can
happen to you also. So use this wisely. See my squeeze page

Compelling Call to Action

You will need to instruct your subscribers to-be what to do, because not all are as
savvy as you and me. We must always assume that they are new to the internet.
Here is a good example:

It’s an easy instruction for your subscribers to-be with time limit as well.

If you do not know how to write headline, compelling call to action, list of benefits,
etc. The recommendation for you is to learn from someone who is an expert in copy
writing. That someone is Johan Mok, I have used most of his teachings into my
squeeze page and web pages. He recently has an ebook called “Receipe For
Riches”, it’s very affordable that is no more than USD $10, it’s a good deal.

By the way, whatever you have written for the squeeze page, make sure that they
are related or talking about the niche you are targeting, if not is will be hard for
subscriber to-be to subscribe to you, as you do not know what you are talking
about.

Make sure that they are not too long or too many points make it short and straight
to the point, this way it will increase the percentage in them subscribing to your
mailing list.

4. Building Squeeze Page (Day 4)
In today quot;Learn Build Squeeze Page: Beginner's Guide to Online Successquot;, we will
start to build your squeeze page, make sure you have website maker software,
Kompozer uploaded to your computer.

1. Open up Kompozer folder on your desktop, click on Kompozer.exe (this
opens Kompozer software)


2. Next, your Kompozer will be open, and it will give you tips, just click ‘Close’

3. You will add in a table into the white space. Here is what you need to do:

• Click ‘Table’ (Top left, beside Tools)

• Select ‘Insert’, then select ‘Table…’

• Select 1 x 1, or put your cursor in the top left square only (picture
below), click OK.

Now you have a single table on the white screen. If it is too big; we will have to
change the size to a smaller one. Follow the steps below:

• Right click your cursor in the table

• Choose ‘Table Cell Properties’


• A table like the picture below will show up. Click ‘Table’ on the top left.


• Change ‘Width’ from 100 to 75 or 80. Change ‘Spacing’ and ‘Padding’ from 2
to 0 as shown below. Then click ‘Apply’, and then close the window.

Now the table is 75 or 80% smaller than previously. We will be make the tables
align in the center. All you need to do is to click inside the table, then click on the
‘Align Center’ button. Your table will be in the center position. Click ‘Enter’ on your
keyboard several times to make the table longer.

Next we will add in the “Sub-Headline” which I ask you to write out yesterday. Copy
and paste the sub-headline into the table, or you can type your sub-headline into
the table on the first line of the table.

On the next line, enter your ‘Headline’ on the second line.

On the third line, put in your compelling call to action.

Next you will need to create another ‘Table’ with two columns within the current
table. Just follow the same procedure for the ‘Table’ above; remember to choose 1
x 2 instead. As for the ‘Align Center’ for the smaller table, you will need to:


• Right Click within the smaller table

• Choose ‘Table Cell Properties’

• Click on ‘Table’ on the Table Properties

• Choose Center for ‘Table Alignment’

• Click ‘Apply’ and ‘Close’ the ‘Table Properties’ window

There you have the smaller table in the center of the bigger. Now you will add in
the benefits of subscribing to your mailing list on the left of the smaller table.

After you have done so, save the file as ‘index.html’ into your computer. We will
continue tomorrow. Do get ready the auto-responder, as we will be using it on the

5. Building Squeeze Page (Part 2) (Day 5)
In today quot;Learn Build Squeeze Page: Beginner's Guide to Online Successquot;, we will
be touching on setting up auto responder campaign, and adding the auto-responder
into the squeeze page. Let’s begin with setting up your auto-responder campaign
for your squeeze page.

First you will need to login to your auto-responder, be it GetResponse, Aweber or
any other auto-responder. I will use the example of GetResponse for this series.

Second is to set up a campaign for capturing subscribers:

First click ‘Create Campaign’ (orange button on the middle of page)

Next you will be brought to ‘Create a New Campaign’ page


i) Campaign Name: This is where your email messages will appear to be
coming from. For best results use your name or you company's name. If
no quot;Reply-Toquot; email address is set below, then your subscribers' replies
will hit the e-mail address you enter above. Don't use any campaign e-
mail addresses or your account will not work.

ii) E-mail Address: This will be shown on the email you send out to your
subscribers. You can use noreply@YourDomainName.com, it will tell your
subscribers not to email to you.

iii) E-mail Address (Reply-To field): When a recipient of your message replies to
it, this is the email address where their reply will be sent to. Make sure
it's a valid email address, and that it's a mailbox that you actually check.
If the quot;Reply-Toquot; address is the same as the quot;Fromquot; address, you do not
need to enter the same data twice. Simply leave the quot;Reply-Toquot; box
empty. Important: Do not use a free email like Gmail or Yahoo mail for

your “Reply-To”, it will not impression your subscribers.


iv) Title: The title field is where you can enter a brief description of your
campaign. It will be shown on the unsubscribe page, where your
subscribers decide if they want to unsubscribe from your campaign or not.

v) Description: You can enter a more detailed description of your
campaign in the description field above. It will be shown on the
unsubscribe page.

After you have entered the fields, click ‘Create a new campaign’. You will be
brought to a new page. See below.


Click on ‘Click here’ to personalize your confirmation message to your subscribers.
Then you will be brought to another new page shown below.

You will need to choose the ‘Subject’. There are a number of different subjects to
choose from, just choose one that you find suitable. Next is to ‘Enter your
message’; this is the area you can add in your own message to your subscribers.
Lastly is to change the signature to your name. Then you must click ‘Save’.

Next is to enter your address for your auto responder campaign. This is a
requirement that you must enter your address. If this is not done, you will not be
able to send email to your subscribers. See picture below. And click ‘Save’ after you
are done.


The next thing you must do is to make sure you choose Single Opt In for your
campaign. Choose ‘Subscribers’, and stroll to ‘Opt In Setting’, see picture below.

Uncheck both ‘Email subscriptions’ and ’Web subscription’ for single opt in. If you

want to set a double opt in for your campaign, leave the setting checked.
Remember to click ‘Save’. As for the ‘Confirmation page URL’, you can put in the


Thank You Page URL or the URL of your affiliate product or your product URL or
leave it blank.

Now that you are done for the setting up, we will go straight to the getting the code
for your auto-responder campaign. Put your cursor on the ‘Subscribers’, choose
’Build Subscribers List’, and click ‘Capture Subscribers’ and a new page will appear.
See picture below.

You will need to check ‘HTML Form’ and choose the campaign name. If this is your
first campaign, you will not need to choose. Click ‘Start Capturing’ after you are
done. You will be brought to a new page.


On the ‘Confirmation URL’ you can enter your affiliate product link here. The best is
to use a thank you page, I will be torching on the building ‘Thank You Page’ in other
post. Next is to check ‘No thanks’. Finally is to click ‘Next Step’ after you are done.

On the new page, there is a new html code in a box, that will be the html code for
your opt in form. Click ‘Select All’, and right click to copy the selected code. See
picture below.


After you have copied the codes, open your squeeze page file in Kompozer.
Compose words on the right small table in your squeeze page as shown on the
picture below.

Next is to click ‘Source’ button on the bottom left of Komposer. You will be brought
to a page that has HTML codes you do not understand. It is okay, just follow my
instruction.

Remember you type in some words on the right small table? You will need to find
‘Put code here’. See picture below.

You will now paste the selected auto responder code into the selected ‘Paste code
here’. After you are done with the pasting, choose ‘Normal’ on the bottom left, here
you will see that a form has been created. See picture below.


Now you will need to save your squeeze page file after you are done. On the next
chapter, we will be talking about making your squeeze page and changing the auto-
responder form to look presentable.

6. Make Your Squeeze Page Look Presentable
It’s Part 6 of quot;Learn Build Squeeze Page: Beginner's Guide to Online Successquot;,
we will be doing some make over to your squeeze page to make it look
presentable. Do note that we will not be turning your website into a
professional looking website, but a website that everyone can
create.

We will start on the tour by opening your squeeze page file on Kompozer.
Next you can see that your squeeze page is all ready in the content, except
the look is not presentable yet. I will share how to change the background
color.

Go to ‘Format’ on the top left and click ‘Page Color and Background…’, you
will be brought to ‘Page Colors and Background’. See picture below.


In order to choose the background color of your squeeze page, check ‘Use custom
colors:’, and choose the color you want for the background. After choosing the
color, click ‘OK’. Now you have a color background for your squeeze page, we will
do likewise for the tables too. We will start with the bigger table first.

As there are two tables in the squeeze page, you need to make sure you choose
which table to color by click in the table space, next click on ‘Format’ on the top left
and click ‘Table cell properties’. You will have open a ‘Table properties’ window
under ‘Cell’, but this is not the one that you are going to change the color. Instead
choose ‘Table’ which is next to ‘Cell’ on the top left. See below picture for ‘Table’
window.


Click on ‘Background Color’, you are able to choose the background color for the
table. After you are done, click on ‘Apply’ and after that ‘Close ’the window. Now try
on the other table using the same steps above.

Next we will focus the headline so that it will grab the attention of your traffic.
Highlight the headline, and choose ‘Heading 1’. See picture below.


After that, your headline will have been enlarge to a specify size, if you find that
you need to change the front size of the headline. Highlight the headline and
choose the front size to your preferences. You may want to centralize the headline
as well. Highlight headline and choose the ‘Align Center’.

As you can see that the Kompozer is like using Mircosoft Word, you are able to be
what Mircosoft Word can do in Kompozer. Please explore on your own as this is
quite an easy part. Next we will be touching on the auto-responder form.

We will change the label name from ‘Your Name’ and ‘Your E-Mail’ to ‘First Name’
and ‘Primary E-Mail’. Go to the ‘Source’ of the squeeze page, and find the above
two label name. See picture below. Remember to save after you are done.

Next we will change the submit button to a different call to action words. On the
same ‘Source’ page of the squeeze page, find “Get More Info!”, then change it to
your prefer call to action. See picture below. Remember to save after you are done.


Next is to widen the length of the form box. In the same ‘Source’ look for
‘size=”14” ’, this is where you need to change to your preference size. You will to
adjust a couple of times. See picture below. Remember to save after you are done.

Next is to add in the image of the report or bonus you are giving away. Click
‘Insert’ and click ‘Image…’, where you select the picture file and load it in the
squeeze page. See picture below.

Under the ‘Image Location’, you are to choose the image file from your computer.
Next is to enter ‘Alternate text’, this is in case your image does not load on your


screen, text will appear instead. Use relevant text for you free report or free ebook.
After that you are done and remember to click ‘OK’.

That will be all for the squeeze page creation. What you need to do is to continue to
explore the functions of Kompozer, do not be afraid of doing the wrong things.
Keep on practicing and you will be getting a hang of it soon.

7. Create Your Thank You Page (Day 7)
It is now part 7 of quot;Learn Build Squeeze Page: Beginner's Guide to Online
Successquot;. Today we will be touching on the creating a thank you page for
your squeeze page.

First I like to explain why a thank you page is necessary for your squeeze
page:

1. Confirm to your subscribers that you have received the details from
your subscribers.

2. It will give your subscribers a good impression that you know what you

are doing.


3. It will instruct your subscribers what to do after they have subscribed
to your mailing list.

Now you know the reason, it’s time to organize what you should compose on
the thank you page:

Thank you sentence: This is a MUST, or this will not be a thank you page. A good
thank you sentence will be: (Thank you for subscribing to <Your Name>
newsletter.) It is a very simple message bringing across to your subscribers.

Inform Sentence: It is also known as the assume sentence, that you have
received the subscriber’s name and email.

Instruction Sentence: It is to instruct your new subscribers where to head to
after they have subscribed. If you have a free bonus given to them through email,
inform them about it.

Preview Sentence: It is used to tell your new subscribers about your product or
affiliate product you are promoting, directing them to the product website. This is
not a must, but it’s good to give them a heads up on what you are promoting.

Your Signature or Picture: It’s always good to have your picture or signature on
the end on the thank you page, so they know that you are a real person.

I will not be touching on the creation of thank you page, as it is the same as
creating a squeeze page. Refer to “Building Squeeze Page Part 1” and “Building
Squeeze Page Part 2”.

As we are at the last second chapter of “Learn Build Squeeze Page: Beginner's
Guide to Online Success”, remember to always to practicing on your new skill and
to explore on your own. You will be better when you keep practicing it, and getting
knowledge from elsewhere.

8. Transferring Your Squeeze and Thank You Page To Your
Hosting
It’s the last chapter of ”Learn Build Squeeze Page: Beginner's Guide to Online
Success”, I am so glad you make it to the last day. Today will be the day you show
your squeeze and thank you page to the world. You will need to use Filezilla for
today’s exercise. If you have not download Filezilla yet, click on the link above.


Open up your Filezilla (FTP software), enter your domain name, web hosting user
name and web hosting password as shown below. After you are done, click
‘Quickconnect’. Now you are connected to your web hosting already.

Next is to find your ‘public_html’ folder, as shown below. Double click on the folder.

Here you will be able to find the domain name you have transferred from the
domain name company. If you have not done so, go to the domain name company
support, they will be able to help you. This transferring will take about less than a
day.

Next you will need to find the squeeze page and thank you page file in your
computer. You will find folder on the left screen which is called ‘Local Site’, this is
your computer files. See picture below.


The ‘Local site’ might be showing more folders, so it will not make a difference.
Locate your two files first. I have located mine now. It will be shown on the
‘Filename’ box, below the ‘Local site’. See picture below.

Important: You may or not use the domain name as the home/ index page, it is ok.
If you are using the squeeze page file as the home page, make sure that it is in
index.html file. If you are not using it as the home page, you can name it
squeeze_page.html if you want.

Let’s assume you want to use the squeeze page as the home page, just name the
file as index.html will do. Next is to find your domain name folder under the
‘public_html’ folder. Drag the index file into the domain name folder. It will
automatically transfer the file for you. After you are done, you need to make sure
your squeeze page is now online type in the domain name URL with the (www.) in
front of the domain name. If you can see your squeeze page on the web, you are
half way done. Next do likewise for your thank you page file. And you are done.

will not be cover here as there is tons of way to drive traffic, be it paid or free

focus on driving traffic daily.
