such that entanglement of the

1. quantum mechanical interpretation that awareness resolves the duality of matter and energy to a unity reality – the
ultimate attractor with shape the proximal mechanism vs the reductionist view of multiple universes
2. life is a property of embodied entities and not a vitalistic or disembodied force that can be separated out and studied in
isolation
3. water exhibits states beyond solid, liquid and gas, particularly in association with biopolymers like collagen,
microtubules and cellulose that promote its coherent behavior and information transfer
4. on all levels life lives by shape from the atomic and molecular levels, to the genetic, organismal level and finally the
fractal geometry of ecosystems with development translating the 2D information of DNA to 3D
5. coherence is most easily indicated by synchronous vibrational frequency, however large biopolymer arrays are known
to vary frequency modes very rapidly making coherence harder to detect conventionally
6. bound water facilitating proton flow along shape-defined macromolecular pathways of proprioception in all
organisms parallel to similar patterns of virtual electron flow in the perceptive neuronal systems of animals
7. efficiency in biological processes vastly exceeds both the speed and precision of bulk systems tested in vitro vs actual
biochemical/biophysical dynamics tested in vivo
8. life by definition runs counter to disorder (organism are organized) so that systems at equilibrium (non-living or
dead) have maximum entropy while the entropy of living organisms is 0, suggesting a measure of health
9. this definition implies a means of assessing health and illness, requires a deeper treatment of development as a
canalization process, and supports a mechanistic discussion of nervous systems and brain function.
Towards an Alternative Life Definition founded on Quantum Physics
All physical entities obey the laws of Physics.
All physical entities follow the principles of Chemistry.
Living things exhibit the ability to manipulate chemical and physical dictates without violating them.
Chemical reactions in cellular systems operate at the level of quantum probability, not mass action.
The basic definition of a coherent system is one where all particles have synchronous frequencies.
The vibrational mode of a system depends on its shape
Life lives by shape, and shape results from the expression of DNA.
Living things have evolved by generating shapes that possess the properties of quantum coherence.
This coherence is expressly evolved to operate in complex, wet and warm entities.
The physical and chemical reactions of life processes utilize quantum coherence to manipulate outcomes.
This manipulation at the level of quantum mechanics results in the emergent properties of Biology.
