Lessons Learned
Good Gnomes…
1. Delivery date for final esMX localization build was on time
2. Localization test plan was accurate & provided the coverage needed
3. Including localization ambassadors with game Devs early on was key
4. Process improvements (bug tracking & reports in LocTool™ expanded)
Bad Goblins…
1. Better training of regional linguists on use of cheats & tools
2. More training on the LocTool™ to gain time efficiency
3. Include localization ambassadors with game Devs consistently (weekly)
4. Loss of some creativity as release date approached
14. Final ThoughTs…
• Quality es número uno!
• Keep localization off the risk list
• The gamer is golden!
• Team collaboration wins the battle every time
• Plan ahead, plan ahead, plan ahead
• Expect the unexpected (and be ready to revise, revise, revise)
