1. Jessica Hurt
“This young woman started at the DDD in May of 2013. A few days after
starting this position, shewas helping and directing her new fellow
employees into the saferoom – surviving a tornado.
This very young woman manages the supply room for all staff in both the
East and the West Buildings. She orders and distributes all the supplies and
assists the staff with office supply needs. We probably havethe best
organized supply roomin the state of Oklahoma. We never have to go
looking for copier paper or toner – she is way ahead of us.
This young woman provides clerical supportassistanceto various unit’s
photocopying needs and assembling training manuals for the new
employees or the PR team. Here I will note she has received very high
praisefrom managers for her supportservices.
She maintains supplies for the copiers and printers, as well as coordinating
copier repairs. Sheis pretty good at trouble-shooting our copier problems
with her mechanical skills. In her sparetime, she is putting together an
Employee Handbook quick reference guide.
She assists in building maintenance and set-up of training rooms for
meetings. She manages the paper recycling and destruction of sensitive
document process. HaveI mentioned sheis a very young and tiny
woman??? Shecan put a lot of us to shame with her body strength!
She is also an active ServantLeadership Council member at the DDD. As a
representative, she promotes and initiates positivechange, by her example,
through communication and collaboration to insurethe professionalneeds
of the DDD staff are being met and with the least stress as possible. Sheis
an assetto the team.
This young, tiny, good-humored woman was born, raised, and educated in
MidwestCity, Oklahoma – graduating Class of 2006. Shehas been a
lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA, been a Photo Lab Specialist to
being a Hand Soldering Tech for Hitachi. This girl can do it all!! When she is
not here lifting and hoisting huge boxes, she enjoys watching movies,
unicycling and following local artist’s work. I mightmention sheis a very
creative storyteller and writer as well.
