Founded: Blogging are online journals. Originally called
“Weblogs” – eventually shortened to “Blogs”. Blogging
became popular in 1999 with the creation of Blogger and
LiveJournal. Today there are a variety of platforms to blog to
including Wordpress and Tumblr.
Purpose: Puts content creation in the hands of individuals.
Anyone can write a blog about any topic.
