26. The indefinite pronouns each, one, other, another, either, neither and compounds ending in -one, -body or -thing and beginning with any-, every-, no-, or some- take a singular verb. Example: Everyone is busy decorating the room. RULE 1

27. The indefinite pronouns few , many , both , and several take a plural verb. Example: Both are expensive, I won’t buy them. RULE 2
