A propos du Guide des expressions JCI
Bienvenue au Guide des expressions, un outil essentiel pour une communication efficace. Un guide
d’expression établit des lignes directrices cohérentes pour une organisation. Ils sont nécessaires et utiles
pour plusieurs raisons:
1. Cohérence
Le Guide des expressions permet à une organisation de s’exprimer de la même manière à tous
les niveaux. Au Wall Street Journal, par exemple, toutes les branches utilisent le Guide
d’Expression du Wall Street Journal. Si un éditeur se retrouve en Californie ou à Hong Kong, il
sait toujours comment demeurer dans le style WSJ. C'est ça la cohérence.
2. Dépannage.
Le guide des expressions supprime la peine de réinventer de nouvelles règles à chaque fois
qu’un problème surgit: «Devons-nous écrire ou pas le mot président avec un P majuscule?»
C'est dans le Guide des expressions JCI.
3. Le Ton
Le fait d’adhérer au Guide des expressions JCI permettra de maintenir un ton particulier de nos
publications qui soit compatible avec la Marque JCI. Diverses publications diffèrent au niveau du
ton, car ils communiquent avec des publics différents. Le Guide des expressions JCI permettra
d'être clair, bien compris par un public international tout en respectant l'organisation dans une
communication efficace avec les non-membres.
4. Les entités externes
Le Guide d’expression JCI aide les journalistes et les écrits des autres entités externes sur la JCI
à se référer à nos programmes, nos événements et aux gens d’une manière précise.
Chaque entrée informe sur une partie ou sur tous
les renseignements suivants:
L’expression (en anglais) - une description du terme et
s’il doit être en majuscule ou en minuscule à la
première référence. Exemple: un exemple du terme
utilisé correctement

l'expression quand elle est utilisée une deuxième
