History
Delinquency problems began to
receive public attention particularly since
the establishment of justice for juvenile
delinquents (juvenile court) in 1899 in
Illinois , USA.
Definition
1. Santrock
Delinquency is a collection of various
adolescent behavior that is socially
unacceptable to place a criminal act.
2. Kartono,
juvenile delinquency is a social pathological
phenomena in adolescents caused by a form
of social neglect. As a result, they developed
a form of deviant behavior.
Causal Factors
1. Internal Factors

2. External Factors

a. The crisis of identity : biological and
sociological changes in the adolescent self
allows for two forms of integration . First ,
the formation of a sense of consistency in
his life . Second , the role of identity
achievement . Juvenile delinquency occurs
because teens fail to reach the second
integration period .
b. weak self- control : Teenagers are not able to
learn and discern behavior that is
acceptable to unacceptable behavior will
be dragged on the ' naughty ' . Likewise for
those who already know the differences in
behavior of the two , but could not
develop the self-control to act in
accordance with his knowledge .

a. Family and Divorce of parents , lack
of communication between
family members , or disputes
between family members can
lead to negative behaviors in
adolescents . Education was
wrong in the family , such as too
indulgent child , not giving
religious education , or denial of
the existence of the child , can be
a cause of juvenile delinquency .
b. Unfavorable Peers
c. Communities and neighborhoods that
are less good
Type
a. drug abuse
Drug abuse is the use of narcotics and drugs without permission
with the sole purpose of obtaining pleasure . Social
aberrations that arise are murder , rape , theft , robbery .
b . Free Sex
Sex outside of marriage , prostitution and HIV / AIDS is a social
aberration due to aberrant social and religious norms .
c . Brawl between students
Fights including the type of delinquency due to the complexity of
city life due to trivial issues .
Forms
a. Delinquency physical casualties on others : fights ,
rape , robbery , murder , and others .
b . Fatal delinquency matter : destruction , theft ,
pickpocketing , extortion , and others .
c . Social misbehavior not cause casualties others :
prostitution , drug abuse .
d . Against delinquency status , for example, deny the
status of the child as a learner by way of ditching ,
deny the status of parents by running away from
home or their command denied
Non Criminal Delinquency , which have problems
of this kind tend to be attracted to the pleasures that
are aloof , apathetic to the community or school
activities . These teens like to isolate themselves ,
avoid activities that foster contact with others . The
feeling is very sensitive and easily hurt , quick to take
offense and to exaggerate their own shortcomings ,
the general symptoms often alone , daydreaming ,
apathetic listlessness , extremely irritable , very easy
to panic , it is very easy to get confused so it tends to
be a drinker , a drunk , sucking opium , narcotics , be a
dope fiend and so on , even have the heart to commit
suicide .
The things you can do to deal with
juvenile delinquency:
1. Failure to achieve identity and role of the weak selfcontrol can be prevented or overcome by the
principles of exemplary. Teens should be able to get
as many people figure that has grown well beyond
the teenage years are also those who managed to
improve themselves after previously failed at this
point.
2. The existence of motivation from families, teachers,
peers to do the first point.
3. Willingness of parents to fix the condition of the
family so as to create a harmonious family,
communicative, and comfortable for teenagers.
4. Adolescents good at choosing good friends and
environment as well as advising parents with whom
and in communities where young people must get
along.
5. Teenagers form a self-defense that are not easily
affected if it turns out peers or community that is not
in line with expectations.
That’s All
Thanks for you’re
attention . . .
