Judea and Samaria: The threat of terror is always present
This month, Israeli civilians and IDF patrols have been the victims of a number of violent
incidents, many occurring in Judea and Samaria.
• Firebombs were thrown at Israeli civilians or soldiers twenty times
• Rocks were thrown at Israel civilians or soldiers twelve times
The IDF made a number of weapons seizures during the month.
• 5 military rifles and three explosive devices were found in the possession of
Palestinians suspects
3. On September 20, Sergeant
Tomer Hazan, 20, was
kidnapped by a Palestinian man
from Qalqilya. He was found
dead the next day in the village
of Siniria. On September 22, Sergeant
Gabriel Kobi, 20, was the
target of gunfire in Hebron. A
few hours later, he died of his
injuries.
Our thoughts are with the families of the victims.

6. IDF Shooting Instructor: Sergeant Sarit Petersen
Originally from Baltimore, U.S., Sarit
is currently a shooting instructor in
the Nahal infantry brigade. It’s her
job to teach soldiers how their
weapons work, and how to use them.
8. Nahal Brigade Soldiers complete their beret march
After six months of intensive training, the soldiers of the Nahal Infantry Brigade
trekked for 57 kilometers to complete their beret march. The march challenged
their skills and endurance and, most importantly, their sense of brotherhood.
