4. DNA of an Agile Coach…
You shouldn't feel the need to expect this, a good coach has it in the blood…
• The nose of a dog…. they smell what’s cooking…
• Expect them to be humane…. products are bi-products….
• Ever so curious : when? how? why? …..No dress codes, no protocols….
• Expect humungous appetite …. You are always learning…
• Expect them to be occasionally wrong …. For they’ll accept it…
• Sometimes chaotic….. Roadmap to success in the making…
• If you can’t assert it, don’t expect them to follow it….
• Passionate about personal and professional excellence

6. You can NEVER sustain Nirvana…
So close, yet so far……..
Almost assuredly, as soon as the team starts
living in high performance…..
• A team member gets promoted and
starts micromanaging team mates
• Company re-organized
• New CxO…. Nirvana relocated - CxO
way rather than the teams way
• Maternity leaves
• Marriage leaves
• Team member leaves the company
Teach the team that they are capable of recovering from setbacks.. Fully and quickly!!

7. As an Agile Coach, what is your Native Conflict Response Mode?
• Accommodating
There is a world between stimulus and response,
this is where Character lies….

8. An Agile Coach may play the following Roles…
• Keen observer
• Gets out of then content and focuses on facilitation to
improve quality of interaction
• What to teach the team during standup?
• How much time to spend on the start-up session?
• How to integrate new team members in the team?
• Extent to which Agile coach solves a problem VS team’s
responsibility to solve it
•Tools to use to detect problems
• Having courage to ask “where are we weak?” is an agile
coach’s duty
• Resolving their conflict is not your job. Helping them see
it and choose what to do about it is
• Pay close attention to the team when in conflict,
consciously decide whether to intervene
