Korean two-wheeler manufacturer, Hyosung recently partnered with DSK group to
expand its trade in India. Although it has a spectacular product line-up with the
presence of GT650R sports bike, GT650N street bike and ST7 cruiser, these
motorcycles only target a small section of the market, owing to its steep price tag.
To generate sales, and battle against the greenhorns in quarter-litre segment,
Hyosung is preparing the launch of the GT250R. And reports confirm that the new
sensation is rolling out tomorrow.

In terms of performance, the GT250R is at par with other competitors in this
segment. It is powered by a 249cc V-twin, generating well over 27 bhp peak
power and 22 Nm torque. With the 75-degree twin cylinder configuration, its
power output is higher than the Honda CBR 250R, but lesser than the
Kawasaki Ninja 250. In addition, the GT250R is expected to give stunning
fuel efficiency of up to 26kmpl in city and 32 kmpl on highways.
5. C ost of Hyosung GT250r In
India
There is no word on the pricing, but we expect Hyosung to price the
GT250R in the range of INR 2.5 las. In the market, it will lock horns
with the Honda CBR 250R and the Kawasaki Ninja 250. In addition,
there was also news of Suzuki entering the quarter-litre segment in
Indian market, and we speculate it will be the biggest rival to the
Hyosung GT250R. Watch this space for technical specs and pricing
from its launch tomorrow.
