Making an investment in agricultural land can never go wrong. The reason why so many people hang to their agricultural land in spite of poor returns is that land’s value appreciate. If anyone is keeping their agricultural land useless it is their own fault. Until the concept of realty farming became real in Coimbatore, only those who had substantial experience took to this profession. Nowadays people from all walks of life buy agricultural land in Coimbatore because of the good returns they get out of it.

Drip Irrigation is a cheap, efficient and planned process that can bring the next Green revolution in the country. Its a potential efficient way of irrigation for the crops. It directs the water directly to the plant's root system. As it allows direct transmission of the water, it can be used in some cases to mix fertilizers and nutrients with the water that can be directly supplied to the root system of the plants. Saves the water as the consumption decreases by 30% to 50%. Reduces the problem of salinization and water-logging. But its a bit expensive and there is an issue of clogging attached to it.

Vertical farming is the practice of growing produce in vertically stacked layers. Vertical farms come in different shapes and sizes, from simple two-level or wall-mounted systems to large warehouses several stories tall. Vertical farming typically uses a mix of natural light and artificial light. Artificial lighting is often LED-based and may be driven by a renewable power source such as solar power or wind turbines.

How communities joined hands to replenish the ecosystem that belongs to them in Ethiopian highlands. Five years ago, communities in the dry highlands of the Yewol mountains found it difficult to grow even their staple crops. In the rainy season, rainwater gushed down the slopes eroding the soil. Free grazing of cattle and unreliable rain affected the productivity so much that crops began to dwindle along with their livestock. Migration was the only way out for some. Food shortage stalked the residents and it still is a reality for some. At a time when the people were struggling with the situation, a watershed initiative was started by concerned local researchers with the support of the government. The project brought in the needed change among communities to join hands and work together to replenish the dwindling resources of their homeland, Yewol, which in Amharic means for all of us.
