INTERNATIONAL WOMEN`S ECONOMIC FORUM

The increasing role of a woman in today`s society - has it
any limit? The influence of the Arab spring in economy and
women rights issues in the Arab world. India – how do
women, business and politics coexist in the 21st century?
Those and many more questions were discussed during the
Forum where more than 200 Latvian and foreign business
delegates from different sectors participated.

St Patrick’s Day is celebrated on
March 17th, the Saint’s religious
feast day and anniversary of his
death in the fifth century. Irish
communities around the world
have observed this day as a
religious holiday for over 1,000
years.

The Irish Ambassador to Latvia, His Excellency, Mr. Aidan
Kirwan welcomed more than 100 guests – diplomats and
Latvian entrepreneurs - to celebrate this day with Irish
traditional food and whiskey and music performed by
Latvian band ‘’Duan Alta’’ who specialise in Irish music.

ILCC introduced a new networking event to its calendar
‘’AN&RB’’ “Afternoon Networking and Refreshment Break”
22 Latvian and International business people and foreign
embassy representatives shared experiences of the
challenges faced in the Latvian business environment and
discussed ideas of how to overcome one of the major
issues: lack of up-to-date information flow.
LURSOFT IT presented the easiest and most cost-effective
ways of obtaining all the necessary information for a full
background check of an industrial, physical or legal person
and follow up on any related changes.

For all those budding sports men and
women out there, ILCC is planning a Business
and Sporting delegation trip to Ireland’s
Capital City –So start training for the run, or
watch from the sidelines and cheer the
runners on as they progress along the
gruelling 42.2km course past the city’s
famous landmarks. More than 10,000
runners from around the world are expected
to participate.
