1. I went to College to major in and become a Veterinarian Technician. I took &
passed all my pre-reqs & basic core classes and then the college informed us
that they were canceling the Vet Tech program. Being young at the time, fresh
out of High School and Vet Tech being my only interest I was lost as to do with
myself. I couldn't think of anything else that interest me. I had just stopped
working at my job at CVS Pharmacy to focus more school seeing that i also
worked at St. Johns University GEAR UP program. So i began focusing on
getting a new job. And for a while i began applying and taking on other job offers.
I continued working at St.John's University until the program had budget cuts & i
was out of a job for 2 months. I then applied & started to work at Subway. I also
took on another job with a catering company in Manhattan (Guastavino's & 583
Park Ave),establishments in which i presently work today. In between I took 2
Continued Education courses ( Starting and Operating a Family Day Care, &
Dental Assistant Training Program) at York College. I than also began working at
a dental office (Jamaica Smiles Dental). With 3 jobs under my belt, after working
& later managing at Subway for a 2 years i finally left. One day later i received a
job offer- by a coworker unknowingly recommending me at another Dental office.
I accepted the job and also began taking the CWEP class that i am currently in.
Today i work 3 jobs. As much as i enjoy them all, I only want to work one job. I
just want to do what makes me happy.
