However, stepwise reconfiguration and improvement of building components such as windows and insulation and introduction of heat recovery systems have gradually transformed the way we produce and use buildings. Water based heating system are no longer needed, instead we can use preheated air systems, as in countries with less heating demand. A consequence is that the live-able area is now the same as the gross area of apartments.
Components are developed in niches, applied and tested in demonstration projects (windows, insulation, heat exchangers etc.). If successful, these innovations get installed in more buildings, either as replacements or add-ons, eventually transforming buildings, in this case making water based radiator systems obsolete. The way multifamily buildings are produced is changed, so called Radical change. In this case the change also influence the market aspects of buildings, delivering larger liveable area than buildings with water based radiator systems.
Vi har testbädden och vi hoppas att ni har idéer, produkter och tjänster som behöver ett sammanhang för att kunna bevisa sin fulla potential. Tillsammans skapar vi framtidens hållbara boende.
