What is Gamification?

 Process of applying game
  like characteristics and
  experiences to non-game
  applications to make them
  more fun and engaging.

What are Contests?

 Promotional and marketing tactic in which
  participants compete for prizes by accomplishing
  something that usually requires skill.


 Normally no fee charged for participating in a
  contest, however general rules and regulations
  usually apply
