The Championships, Wimbledon,
commonly known simply as
Wimbledon, is the oldest tennis
tournament in the world, and is
widely considered the most
prestigious. It has been held at
the All England Club in
Wimbledon, London since 1877.
5. Polo in the Park
The Hurlingham Club
3-5 June
Start the summer season in style.
Hurlingham Park in Fulham is
hosting the largest and certainly
most fun polo tournament in
Europe. Six teams will be
representing different Cities from
around the world competing over a
three day period.
6. Glastonbury
Worthy Farm, Somerset
22-26 June
Arguably the most famous music festival
in the world and with good reason
Glastonbury attracts festival-goers
from around the globe because of the
eclectic mix of incredible acts it offers
every year. The 2016 line up already
includes the likes of: Coldplay, Adele,
Muse, Disclosure, Stormzy and
Two Door Cinema Club.
7. Henley
Royal Regatta
Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire
29 June-3 July
Henley Royal Regatta is
undoubtedly the best known regatta
in the world and is both one of the
highlights of the summer sporting
calendar and the social season. It
attracts thousands of visitors from
around the world over a 5-day
period and is a must visit.
8. RH S Chelsea
Flower Show
Royal Hospital Chelsea
24-28 May
The Chelsea Flower Show has
been held in the grounds of the
Royal Hospital Chelsea, London
every year since 1913, apart from
gaps during the two World
Wars. Once Britain's largest
flower show (it has now been
overtaken by RH S Hampton
Court Palace Flower Show), it
is still the most prestigious.

Benson, Caro Emerald, Jools Holland &
his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Anastacia
and the Royal Philharmonic
Concert Orchestra.
11. Grand Prix
Silverstone Race Track
3-5 July
Formula 1 is undeniably one of the
world’s most exhilarating sports. Last
year a record breaking 350,000 spectators
visited the iconic Silverstone race track
over the weekend.
As well as incredible racing the Grand
Prix offers a brilliant selection of
entertainment for all ages. This year
Texas will be the headline act on
Silverstone’s main stage with Scouting
for Girls also performing a full set.

The pinnacle of the domestic rugby
season comes to a close in front of
an 80,000 strong crowd at
Twickenham Stadium in the Aviva
Premiership Rugby Final. Watch as
two of the country’s finest teams
do battle to be crowned Aviva
Premiership Champions.
