convert 11m scans of newspaper articles for display
on their website
By using the Cloud, the 11m documents were
converted in 24 hours, at a cost of approximately
$288 (equivalent to £180)
While investigating cost savings in its IT services, AIB
calculated that 100TB of data storage had an annual TCO of
€840,000 (£743k). By moving to a Cloud based solution,
the cost of this storage would be reduced to €125,000 per
annum, a saving of over 85% (£111k p.a.).
