A complete criminal background check will be conducted on all applicants. Instructor candidates
must be of “good character” as defined in U.S. Department of Defense Instruction 3020.41,
which specifically means;
1) You cannot have a prior criminal infraction, (felony or misdemeanor) that prohibits you
from possessing, carrying or owning a firearm.
2) You cannot have a domestic violence criminal history.
3) You cannot not have a criminal conviction of Arms OR Human Trafficking.
ADMINISTRATIVE FEES:
All administrative fees are non-refundable on grounds that certain fees are established by
local, state or federal agencies and must be paid directly to those entities.
INSTRUCTOR APPLICATION FEE:
$25.00: An instructor’s certification is valid for two (2) years from the date of issue. It
must be renewed within sixty days of expiration.
RENEWAL FEE:
$25.00: Renewal certification is valid for two (2) years from date of issue.
An applicant for Tactical Instructor Certification or annual renewal must attend a mandatory
course of instruction provided by Hostile Control Tactics and meet administrative standards.
2. COURSE ACCESSIBILITY:
A Tactical Instructor Certification course is offered at least four (4) times each year. It is the
applicant’s responsibility to make all necessary arrangements to attend and pass the course.
APPLICATION PROCESSING:
Attach a signed copy of our minimum prerequisites for training and certification policy
guidelines.

INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Each instructor will be required to provide a signed certificate of completion OR a
signed certificate of proficiency to each individual that completed a course of instruction.
Ensure that each certificate a stamp/raised seal of company the course instructors
actual signature.
Instructors MUST supply a valid phone number and/or e-mail to be listed on the HCT
website for course alumni. The instructor’s contact information must remain updated OR
the instructor will be removed from listing.
