Alia International Airport in Amman (AMM).

On 9 November 2006, it won the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation
award for “Airline Turnaround of the Year 2006”.
Operates more than 500 flights every week, with a minimum of
110 daily departures.
Airfinance Journal voted Royal Jordanian “Airline of the Year
2007”.

6. Royal Jordanian: Cargo
Royal Jordanian Cargo (Royal Jordanian Airlines Cargo) is the
airline’s freight division that flies to Africa, Europe, North
America, and the Middle East.
The airline additionally offers worldwide cargo charter services.
Royal Jordanian Cargo flies to Athens, Baghdad, Cairo,
Damascus, Khartoum, Kuwait, Larnaca, London, Maastricht
(European hub), New York, Riyadh, and Tel Aviv.
7. Royal Jordanian: Aircraft names
Royal Jordanian has named its aircraft after cities in Jordan.
Older aircraft, including the Airbus A340 and the Airbus A310, are named for members of the Hashemite Royal Family.
8. Royal Jordanian: Livery
The livery of Royal Jordanian is a dark grey fuselage with the title in both English and Arabic.
Red tips are located on the fins, winglets, and engines of the aircraft, along with two strips (one gold and one red), down the fuselage; the
fin features a crown.
This livery has been used since 2006, prior to which the livery was similar, even though the engines were not painted, and the fin had no
curved stripe atop.
9. Royal Jordanian: Special color schemes
Royal Jordanian never had an aircraft painted in a special colour
scheme until 2009.
During the Oneworld 10th anniversary celebration in February
2009, it was announced that Royal Jordanian would paint its new
A319 to be delivered late in March in a unique scheme, based on
the Oneworld name and logo (right).
The aircraft (with registration JY-AYP) has its fuselage painted
white and engines in regular Royal Jordanian colours.
At the front of the aircraft is “Member of Oneworld” in prominent
learning, with the common title “Royal Jordanian” further back.
10. Royal Jordanian: Head office
Haddadinco Engineering Company for Contracting is constructing
the new Royal Jordanian main office in Amman since 2009.
This new building was finished late in 2011; RJ employees started
working in the building on January 3, 2012.
Alia’s main office was in the Mango Building in Amman in the
1960s.
