To learn about opportunities ï¶ From known colleagues who work in the same domain as you ï§ At Edinburgh Napier ï§ Beyond Edinburgh Napier ï¶ From elsewhere ï§ Social media: e.g. follow research councils on Twitter, relevant blogs ï§ Mailings lists, e.g. JISC ï§ Participation at external events, from networking sessions to international conferences 2. To develop ideas in readiness for opportunities ï¶ e.g. possible research partnerships ï¶ e.g. potential sites for data collection
