13. Outlook for July
In summary, according to the MLS Hermosa Beach real activity during the month of June produced a
16.67% increase in total sales, an 8.16% jump in new listings, a 7.9% improvement in the sales/listing
ratio, and drops in both the median days to sell and months of inventory. The only stat trending off pace
relative to last month is the median sales price, but this number tends to bounce around a bit when
compared on a monthly basis versus year-over-year.
With summer upon us expectations are promising that seller and buyer activity will continue to intensify,
especially during July. The only caveat, however, is the one question I am continually presented with, and
that is: “Will mortgage money continue to remain at historically low rates?” Because the answer to this
question is extremely complicated a simple response that I offer in return is to take capitalize on this
opportunity while it lasts, assuming a thorough analysis of your personal situation supports the decision.
