Mankind cannot reach God due to sin, but the cross of Jesus Christ provides a way for sin to be covered so that people can reach God. The document discusses how people try to reach God on their own but are unable to due to sin, and that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross allows for a relationship with God by covering mankind's sin.
