years old are exempt from the Data Protection Act. The
data in these historic books can be viewed and archived
without any fear of conflict with present legislation.

ow do we safeguard the information? Simply by
photographing or scanning it, without it ever leaving the
secure environment of your school. The images are then
collated, checked, tagged and stored on DVD disc, your
schools computer system and at a designated third-party
destination of your choice.

with relevant data i.e. school year, pupil names, teachers
names etc, the task of searching for data fir genealogical
purposes is made much easier.
