G4S Gurkha officers work with a military strategy

Canine services
A full range of protection and detection services
G4S employs some of the UK’s most experienced, intelligent and flexible
dog/handler teams. A canine solution will provide an extra dimension to your
site’s security. The presence of a G4S canine unit is a powerful tool which can
be used as a deterrent against a potential intruder, as well as providing a
capability to detect and search for trespassers.
G4S trains and deploys general purpose, narcotics and explosive dog/handler
teams to meet your business requirements, whether that’s protecting your assets
from intruders, guarding premises, searching persons entering your building, or

Event security and stewarding
G4S's stewarding and security services ensure our

G4S has over 25 years' experience of providing crowd management and security
services to the events market. Our breadth and depth of experience across live music,
sport, conferences, exhibitions and community events is unmatched in the industry.
We make this legacy count by providing high quality and well managed security and
stewarding services.
G4S provides services to many of the UK’s leading venues and events. As well as
benefiting from our specialist event sevices, many customers use additional services
from across the G4S portfolio, ensuring a bespoke and cost-effective service.
G4S operates an EventsTactical Support (ETS) service which is primarily focused on its
direct link with the emergency services. The ETS service was created in response to
increasing police costs at music and sporting events, and to address the increasing strain
on police resources.
The experience of our ETS team in event and crowd management allows us to design
and implement the most effective security solution in conjunction with the police and
other emergency services. Its success is centred on the seamless integration of G4S and
the authorities, and the consequent reduction in costs for the police. This cohesion is
further facilitated by the addition of an ex-police Festival Liaison Officer who is a pivotal
link between organisers and the police during planning and operational delivery.
