• i-TINS is the backbone of DoT’s traveler

4. Purpose of i-TINS
• Provide residents and visitors with a DoT traveler
information system designed to provide multi-modal,
real-time information and route guidance using:
– Smartphone application (Darb Mobile)
– Upgraded web application (www.darb.ae)
– Feed to satellite navigation system service providers (in-
vehicle and OEM)
• Provide a “front end” to the Abu Dhabi ITS (ADITS)
for collection and fusion of real-time information
• Provide a means for DoT staff to access real-time
and stored data for transport planning activities
