How to Make Your Gazebo Canopy a Multi Seasonal Living Area
If you have decided to invest in adding a gazebo canopy to your landscape you need to stop and think
how you can get the most bang for your buck. If you live in a climate where the seasons change, what
can you do to make sure you can use your gazebo for more than one season? Making your gazebo a
multi seasonal option will make your investment well worth the money, all year round.
The first step you can take in making your gazebo canopy a year round living area is adding electricity to
the structure itself. With electricity you give yourself the option to add heat and cooling for the extreme
months. A small electric heater will keep the space warm and cozy allowing you to use it throughout the
winter months. A small room air conditioner or even a ceiling fan can keep it cool throughout the hot
summer months, depending on your climate.
2. Having electricity allows you to add light. Even if you live in a climate that's warm all year round, it still
gets dark pretty early in the winter. Added lighting can help you get more evening use out of your gazebo.

Another option to consider is misquito netting. If you have an open sided gazebo misquito netting may be a must have in the summer months, depending where

If you don't want to go as far as getting removable windows you may want to look into getting roll down shades. At certain times of day the sun can be very
strong. It's nice to have something to block the sun, as well as keep out it's heat. A roll down blind can be the perfect accessory to get you back into your
gazebo in the late day. This makes it perfect for eating dinner, or a nice family gathering.
As you can see there are many ways to increase the time you can spend in your gazebo. Why not plan ahead and see if you can make your gazebo a multi
seasonal addition to your home.

Looking for a pattern to sew a new canvas canopy for my 10 X 10 gazebo.?
It’s getting too hard to find replacements and the metal on the newer ones is to light so if I could get a pattern to make a new 2 tiered top, I would be set for the summer.

I like bushmas…’s answer if you want a copy of what you have now, but it sounds like you want something slightly different. Can you post photos of what you have and
what you want on photobucket, or something?
I could probably write you a formula, but I need to know exactly what you want and what dimensions you are working with. Is it actually a square gazebo as it sounds, or is
it a hexagonal or octagonal gazebo, or another shape?
Is it taller in the center and slopes downward to the sides, like a roof? If so, how tall does the canopy have to be? (ex: “4 feet total height” or “walls are 8 ft. high but I want it
10 ft. high at the center.)
If you want 2 tiers, is the bottom tier open in the center so that you can see both tiers from underneath, or not?
What kind of support structure do you plan for the canopy to sit on?
When you talk about “the metal” are you referring to the circular grommets that are used to tie or hook the canopy in place, or other metal?

Where can I find a Gazebo Canopy Replacement for our 12 x 12 single tier gazebo?
I believe that it was purchased several years ago at a Sam’s Club. I’ve tried Garden Winds but can’t find one that looks like it plus they won’t reply to my emails. I have even
sent them photos. I also purchased one that was supposed to be guaranteed to fit all 12x12s but no go. That one was apparently made for one with a much taller top and
had far too much extra material hanging. I have no idea where else to look. Can anyone help? We really don’t want to buy another entire gazebo. Here is a link to two photos
of it when it was in good condition:

We ran into the same thing then a friend of ours resized our frame with a hacksaw.
(worked out great).
It’s best to find the correct replacement canopy before resizing to fit the type of frame you have.

If you can’t find one all made, any place that works with canvas can make you one. Boat repair shops, tent makers, etc.

Your appears to be a one-tier canopy, and maybe the one you got at Garden Winds was for a two-tier which would have made it too “long.”
