1. How does your media product
represent particular groups ?
The opening title sequence I can see you ,aims to represent the youth of this generation
because this is the audience the film is aimed at . There is no specific sex this film is aimed
at however we aim to represent both genders.
I can see you is aimed to target young black adults , as the characters within the film
have these characteristics . The males are represented in the stereotypical way because
the picture shows the actor wearing a designer hoody .This represents' young black males
as this is the type of clothing that young black men wear.
However the serotype of a young black girl is challenged because girlsnormally dress in
feminine colours ,however in I can see you actresses are dressed like the men . It can be
argued that the young females are under represented in the film because of the use of
costume. On the other hand girls in this generation do conform to the costume of men.

2. The actress dressed in white is dressed similar to the character from I can see you. Although the
actress is not wearing a hoody , she is still conforming to masculine costume . In both images women
are engaging in activities that would normally be associated with men; for example in I can see you
, stalkers are normally associated with men and in Honey the actress is doing street dance , which is
a predominantly male industry .
