This document provides a high-level summary of the MAIZE value for money proposition:
1. MAIZE aims to accelerate the development of stress-tolerant maize varieties in Africa and South Asia through opening a CIMMYT facility to support all African breeders.
2. The project will develop a network to identify and improve combined drought and heat stress tolerance in current maize varieties of Africa and South Asia.
3. Brought Tolerance Maize for Africa project yielded 11,000 mt of commercial drought-tolerant seed produced in 2018.
