• They are shot in medium close up or close up with the
interviewee looking at the interviewer. The interviewee is

thirds is followed.

• The mise-en-scene used is relevant to Jaws. Chromakey is
also used to put the different interviewees into the mouth
of a shark.
• Cutaways are used in the form of archive material included
book covers and shots of what seems like hovering over
open water.

to identify who the interviewee is. They also explain
their relevance to the topic in a few words.

• Most of the interviews are framed to the left or right. However, some
could be described as being more central on screen. These are all in
mid-close up or close up. However, there are also interviews with two
interviewees meaning that these are filmed in a two shot with one
person to the left and the other to the right. The interviewees look at
the interviewer mot directly into the camera.

• The interviews follow the rule of thirds.
• The mise-en-scene of each interview relates to the
interviewee or the subject of the documentary. These
include cut outs of characters.
