2. Was born on 25 May 1968 in Pataqani i Poshtëm,
Kosovo. He is a well known comtemporary Albanian
painter, who lives and works in Linz, Austria. Even as a
child, Gazmend showed talent for drawing.

3. Gazmend Freitag is an artist that well knows the
secrets of figuration and uses them to create
amazing works. On fabrics, particularly with
portraits, is able to convey the emotions drawn
from the observation of his surroundings, opening
towards new stylistic dimensions. The figuration of
the painter Gazmend Freitag must be understood as
an outlet for his talent and his creativity. In fact,
the artist proposes on the fabric his re-elaborations
of what is real, underlining with emphasis the
particularities of the faces in the portraits. His
compositional syntax follows the dictates of the
lesson of the way and is completed with
considerations which emphasize the romantic.
