This document summarizes a multirisk analysis project for the "Pays A3V" region in southeastern France. The project analyzed natural hazards at two scales: on a territory scale of 1,622 km2 and within two districts. At the territory scale, cartographic atlases and multi-hazard analyses were produced at a scale of 1:50,000. Within districts, recurring phenomena were inventoried, exposed elements identified, risk analyzed by hazard type and damage type, and finally multi-risk analyzed by damage type. The project aims to integrate risk management into regional planning through these analyses and policy proposals addressing prevention, regulation and crisis management.

3. Objectives
> Administrators needs (Ministry of Ecology / Region
PACA) :
On district scale
- Making Multi Risk Prevention Planning (PPR) and
spread it over several districts ;
-> for Ministry of Ecology
- Helping the districts with their development projects.
-> for the Region PACA

4. Objectives
> Administrators needs (Ministry of Ecology / Region
PACA):
On territory scale (for the Ministry of Ecology)
- Making a geosystemic exercise over a bigger territory
than district, showing all the possible hazards, create
a communication between administrators of the
territory, and connect risk management and territory
planning ;
- Integrating solutions of risk management policy on a
territory ;
- Studying damages and impacts of multiple
risks and trying to limit their
consequences.

5. Objectives
> Administrators needs (Ministry of Ecology / Region
PACA):
On territory scale (for the Region PACA)
- Speaking about natural disasters management
without using reglementation first, which can be
interesting for communication ;
- Leading people from different administrations
(security, mayors, management…) to talk together ;
- Speaking about all phenomenon, and not very well
known natural phenomenon or with low reccurence ;
- Integrating the season’s issue in the
analysis to introduce economics actors.

6. Objectives of the project
> Engagement of the « Pays A3V » in a process of
sustainable development which aims to control, in
particular, the territory planning evolution ;
> The objectives of this study are :
1. An analysis of global risks across the territory,
through a cartographic atlas, and multi-hazards
analysis (at scale 1/50000),
2. A multi risk analysis (at 1/25000) concerning two
districts located in high-risk areas,
3. A proposal of risk management policy.

Organize risk maps by type of damage, not depending on the type of
hazard. This in order to obtain a global multirisk analysis on a district.
