Job Summary:
Alsco is a privately-held company that is a leader in the textile services industry. Alsco s�
internal IT is developing and implementing a new line-of-business application used for
managing deliveries and billing in its branch operations. Alsco is seeking a 4GL Specialist
(Oracle) who can play a role in a Central Reporting System developed in Oracle to expand
reporting capabilities of the line-of-business application. This position is based in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities:
 Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues for a variety of
centralized processing operations.
 Develop usable solutions based on verbal and written product specifications.
 Assist with the definitions of technical solutions in order to solve computer business issues.
 Write scripts to isolate or identify certain data criteria.
 Perform unit testing.
 Troubleshoot and reproduce product problems.
 Assist the senior database administrator in the technical evaluation of new products and
services.
 Provide ad hoc reporting and development support as needed.
 Provide training of the developed business processes to business users.
Qualifications:
 2 years programming experience with 4GL language (preferably Oracle).
 Knowledge of and background with business applications.
 Experience with database technology.
 Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
 Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related coursework
preferred.
