When I was studying how to surf, I read several guides , took a few surf lessons and then which was
it, I just recently surfed every possibility I got. In my surf lessons and with the guides I read, they
covered the surfing basics, but there are several some tips i learned the hard approach. Perhaps my
teacher mentioned these things and that i wasn't paying attention, but I suspect a few of these things

Surfing Tip #1 : Don't Wear a T-Shirt
What? I'll obtain skin cancer and pass away you freak. Hold on a second, I'm not advocating going
out in the sun with out protection. Get yourself a proper rashguard. A break outs guard is a top
designed especially for searching. It fits tightly to your body (hey it is possible to look hot and also

it is mounted on you and to one thing on the surface that glides. That is rather reassuring sometimes.
There actually is some debate regarding surf leashes inside large surf well over 20 feet and also
whether they are more harmful to the surfer, but also for 95% of us, surf leashes make sense.
The leash finally shattered at the joint where the neoprene joins the ankle velcro band and I bought a
new surf leash. The dumb thing is the fact that I had to spend 20 dollars before that fixing some

So you are now keeping an eye on the health of your surf tether. While you're with it, don't forget to
keep an eye on the surf wire. The surf cord is what you employ to attach your surf leash to your surf

need to get the good stuff. If you are intending to be out in the water for more than an hour, you really
need to get some proper sun protection for your face.
I really like the Headhunter brand, it's not inexpensive but it protects and also stays on. I order the
Headhunter Warpaint for my encounter and I also purchase the Headhunter Face lotion for my lips. I
can go out for over two hours and it shields me. I live in costa rica , so the sun is fairly strong here
and that i don't get a burning from the sun when I put this stuff on.
Those small little dings might not look like much, but go out just a few times with them and you are
planning to damage and deteriorate your surfboard. Most of the dings are small and you can repair
them yourself therefore there is no reason to not fix them. The tube regarding ding repair is cheaper
than ten dollars also it only takes a few minutes to do the repair. You can do the repair and be
searching in the same hour or so , so don't be therefore lazy or you will spend the price later when

When you are sitting outdoors and you see a huge close out set coming in that you want to be able to
paddle out to prevent , do not paddle merely hard enough to get within the first incoming trend. The
next two are almost always bigger. It's human nature to kind of merely paddle as hard as we need to,
to clear the wave. The problem is , if these are huge waves and you just obvious that first one , you

3. might not clear the 2nd one, and you probably won't get out past the third wave prior to it breaks.
When you see that huge close out set , paddle hard and also keep paddling hard till you've eliminated
the first wave, then you will know what shape you have for the next waves within the set.
They will not always come in 3's. Sometimes 5 or even 8 :)
