The FE230 series regulators are microprocessor control systems designed to vary the speed of single-phase induction motors used in ventilation and air treatment systems. They can control motors with a maximum current of 4.5A and optional loads like solenoids or gas valves. The regulators can be operated manually via the front panel or remotely using radio control and include sensors to allow intelligent control of installations based on pollutant levels to optimize comfort and energy consumption. Versions with temperature sensors and RS-485 communication enable automatic management of air circulation independent of other systems.

Digital electronic control for the electric motor for ventilation and air treatment
1. Digital speed regulator FE230
Ventilation single-phase motors.
The FE230 series regulators are control micro processor systems designed to vary, manually or in automa-
tic mode, the single-phase induction motor’s speed that are typically used in extraction, ventilation and
air treatment system.
Particularly suitable for cooker hoods (professional kitchens and laboratories) or ventilation - air exchan-
ge industrial systems, the devices pilot (phase’s partialization technique) motors with maximum current
absorption of 4.5 A, they manage the lighting system and an optional load in parallel to the motor
(solenoid for chimney’s opening or for gas supply block).
The various loads are controlled through the keyboard on the front panel or, eventually, through a radio
command (optional for models with radio receiver).
FE230 can be equipped with appropriate optional sensors (temperature, humidity, ozone, air quality):
by implementing appropriate control strategies in the internal processor, it is possible to manage the
installations in a "intelligent" way, modulating the activation in function of the pollutant’s effective level
in the environment, optimizing comfort and electric consumption.
There are versions equipped with temperature sensor and serial RS-485 communication port, which al-
low the automatic management of the air’s aspiration and replacement functions, making the system
independent.
In professional kitchens, for example, the models equipped with temperature probe allow the motor’s
suction flow regulation in function of the hot developed from a cooking surface.
In other applications, is possible to exploit the device’s connectivity to interface it with our solutions for
the air quality’s "intelligent" control in professional environments, in particular with FE1017 sensor mo-
dules and with FE1011 control units (www.fasarelettronica.com ).
