Diet
Lemurs are herbivores which mean that they only eat plants.
They can also be omnivores to and that means that they can
eat both plantsand other animals. They can eat a whole variety
of fruits, flowers and leaves. When they are eating meat they
will often eat insects, spiders an very small vertebrates. They
are mostly herbivores then omnivores because they will mostly
eat plantsthen insects and spiders. They will also eat other
foods to like they will eat berries, nuts and leaves as well. The
other food that they will eat is insects and they will also eat
spiders. Lemurs have a very omnivorousdiet. The food that the
ring-tailed lemur will eat fruit, leaves, tree bark, sap and they
will also eat flowers. When the ring-tailed lemur is dining on
insects then they will use theirspecial footpadsthen they will
start to move around the forested desert home (also known as
the spiny forest. When these expert acrobatsare eating thorny
plantsto help them to eat these plantsthey usuallypluck at
them and they will also eat very small leaves to. That is what
the ring-tailed lemur will eat. The ring-tailedlemur will also eat
gum to. Lemurs will eat a whole variety of vegetation like
flowers, fruit and leaves. Sometimes they can also eat insects
and small vertebrates. When the ring-tailed lemur in a zoo then
they will eat all different types of vegetation foods and they will
also eat dry food to that is containingvital nutrients. The
smaller species of lemur are mostly nocturnal and they will eat
primarily fruit and they will also eat insects. The big species of
lemur will often eat during the day. They will also eat different
types of plantsto but the food that they will eat the most is
when the lemur is hungry. There are some species of lemur that
can also eat insects that can be very good for their diet. The
ring-tailed lemur has an opportunisticeater. They will eat fruits,
leaves and tamarind tree. A ring-tailedlemur will eat so many
different types of plant species that it can be good for their
diet. Those foods happen to be flowers, herbs, bark, and they
will also eat sap to. They have been observed of eating wood,
earth plants, spider webs, insect cocoons, they will also eat
arthropodslike spiders and caterpillars, cicadasand they can
also eat grasshoppers and small vertebrates.
Habitat/Range
They can get their food by surrounding the trees but the lemurs
will often be on the forests floor by surrounding the trees but
the lemurs will often be on the forests floor when they do not
have any luck up in the trees. Lemurs live on an island that is
called Madagascaran island that is off the south east coast that
is right next to Africa. They can also live in a few neighboring
islands. Lemurs can be found in all different environmentsthat
also include rainforests scrub (areas that have really low trees
and shrubs) they can also live on this islandthat is where they
hang most of their day up in the trees. The ring-tailed lemur can
be found on the south and on the southwest of Madagascar.
Their habitatsthat they live on is spiny forests, dry scrub, and
they can also live on deciduousand gallery forests. Madagascar
can be found on the east coast of Africa. Sometimes they can
be found in really small surround islandsthat also include the
Comoros (that is where they are likely to introduce by humans).
Size/Weight
The size of the ringed-tailedlemur’s head and body can grow
about 17.75in (45 cm), their tail can grow about 21.75 in (55
cm). They can weight about 5 to 7 lbs (2.3 to 3.4 kg). The ring-
tailed lemur can grow about 15 – 18 inches long. That is how
big their head and their body can grow about 5 to 7 lbs (2.3 to
3.4 kg). The ring-tailedlemur can grow about 15 to 18 inches
long. The ring-tailed lemur can grow about 1.1 oz up about15
to 20 lbs that is for the biggest varieties. Theirwill usually
weight about 440lbs. The length of the ring-tailed lemur is 37-
43 inches this is also includes the tail. They can weigh about 5
to 7 pounds. Lemurs are really medium sized primates the
adultscan grow about 70 cm tall (that also includestheir tail)
which can be often near a very long body of the lemur. A
lemur’s body can be big as 16 inches (40 cm). Their tailscan be
big as 2 feet (60 cm). They can weigh about 6 to 8 pounds(3-
3.5in). The length of their tail is 5-15.5 cm (2-6.1 in). They can
weight about 0.5-3kg (1. 1-6.6 lb). The height of the head and
the body of the ring-tailedlemur is 15 inches long. Theirtails
can grow about22 to 24 inches long. They can weigh about
between 5 to 8 pounds. The body and head length of a lemur is
12-21. 5in (30-55cm). The length of their tail is 10-25,5in (25-65
cm). Their body can grow about 18in (45 cm).
Life span
A ring-tailed lemur can live about 20 to 25 years. When they are
in the wild then they can live about 20 years and when they are
in captivitythen they can live about35 years. They can also live
about 18 years or even longer than that.
1 interesting fact
The ring-tailedlemurs live in a social group that is calleda troop
these animalsare very social animals. The ring-tailed lemur is
really a social animalthey live in a group that is called a troop it
can hold about3 to 25 animalsin it. The troop will hold lots of
males and females. The leaders of this are the females. To
make their bondsstronger they will groom each other. When
they are traveling then they will keep their tailsraised up high
just like a flag this is how the group can tell where everyone is
located at. Theirgroups can also hold about 5 to 22 animals.
There is no mixed leaders in these groups the animalsthat are
in charge is the females are the leadersof the males. Every
group in the lemur troop has their very own territory and these
territories are all in different groups that cannot overlap. The
dominate females is to find the best locationswhere to look for
food and a good places to sleep. The other job that they do is
that they have to keep everyone in their place. A lemur group
can even hold about 20 animalsto. The female usually takes
control of the troop then the males do. There is usually a
squabblethat breaks out between the males and the females.
The females will usuallywin during the argument. The
dominate female is usuallyresponsible for the group’s defense.
The ring-tailstroops can live in a home range which often
chance really dependson what food is available. The ring-tail
lemur can defend their territory by the females marking the
trees with their genital smears and the males will use a wrist
gland to gounge so that their scent is into sapling. Their
territory can big as 15 to 37 acres. Every different group has a
different home range sometimes they can overlap. The lemur is
the most social structure that is seldom that is seen among all
mammals. A lemur’s troop will defend their territory against
other troops. These troops will usuallyfight between both
groups. The females are usuallyopposing the group they can do
this by leapingand darting towards them. Females can mark
trees with a very special sent that they will use to warn the
intruders to tell them that the females have control over the
group then the males do. The lemur group kind a have the
same way that other primates do like they will feed and they
will also groom each other. These animalsreally enjoy sleeping
with each other. No one knows why lemur’s exhibit is a really
rare form of social structure. A lemur can make a special
howling sound that can be heard over a mile away. These
lemurs love to groom each other because it keeps there bonds
stronger. At the bottom of the teeth forms a comb that looks
like a row that the lemur can use when it is grooming another
member of the troop. A lemur will use their mouths to groom
each other.
2 interesting fact
Lemurs share their land with other animalsto like they will
share it with brown lemurs, Boa constrictors, Eagles, Hawks and
Fossas. Lemurs can communicate with each other with
vocalizationsand their scent markings. The lemurs are one of
the most primates that will use at least 15 different
vocalizationsso that they can call for one call for aerial
predators. They will also use theircontact calls to being the
troop family together and they will make an alarm call that will
be heard for the whole troop. Lemurs have very sharp claws
that can be found on their feet they will use these claws to hold
onto the tree branches so that the lemur can escape from
predator like the fossa. The ring-tailed lemur can be really
talkative. They can talk to each other with a whole variety of
sounds like they will use whistles; grunts and they will also
make a cat like sound like a meow. They will use this different
type of sounds for greetings, territorial, expressions, and
threats and for alarms to. The other way that lemurs can
communicate with other animalsis they will use a special scent
glandsthat is located on their wrists and on the bottoms that
will leave a scent of trails on braches so that they can mark
their territory.
3 interesting fact
The lemur’s fingers and toes have a really soft broad on them
they can also have flat nailsto this will allow them to grab onto
an object and they also need to groom their nailsto and the
other lemurs that is in their troop. The greatest predator that is
in Madagascaris the fossa and this animalis one of the biggest
predators that the lemurs have to face. The fossa’s favorite
meal is lemurs. The fossa is a really stubborn and a very fast
animalso most likely the lemurs will become food this
predator. Thisis how a lemur can escape from getting eaten by
a fossa the fast thing that they will do is reaction a lemur is very
agile and this will allow the lemur to escape the fossa. Lemurs
can talk to each other in alldifferent ways. There are some
lemurs like the indri can make a loud wailing callsthey will use
this call to protect their territory. The sifaka can use its sounds
for its home range. They can also use a shi-fak call this noise
kind a sounds like a hiccup. When it is time for them to go to
bed they will make a meow sound. Lemurs love to sleep
together. On how they sleep they will curl up with their tailsso
that they can warm themselves during the night when they are
sleeping.
Responding
The small lemurs will give birth to a lot of babies at once. The
bigger species of lemurs will give birth to only one baby. When
the babies are first born then the mother will carry her babies
around with her. In wither month the mothers will let the baby
cling onto her back. The other species of lemur will push their
babies into a really safe place where they can find good food.
The ring-tailedmother will give birth to only one or two babies.
They will usuallygive birth during August though October they
will usually have their young when they wet season starts. The
newborn babies will start to ride on its mother’s belly in the
first two weeks. After those weeks are over then they will start
to ride on their mothers back. The younger’s will reach
adulthoodwhen they are about two years old. Just like any
other primate they are usuallyfairly-long lived. Both male and
female will both reach maturity in about two and a half years.
The males will get older before they are strong enough to win a
breeding right. The mating season will start in April. When they
are in the wild then the gestation period will be 134 to 138
days. The babies will start to be born in the months of August
and in September. A single baby is really the one that happens
more often. When there is a twin then it is not rare for the food
that is plentiful.A lemur baby can weigh about three to four
ounces (85-113 cm) the moment that they are born. The babies
will start to cling onto the mother’s belly for the first two
weeks. Then after those weeks then they will start to ride on
the mother’s back. These babies will start to walk when they
are four to five months. They are will start to eat normal food in
two months. The females will stay in the group but the males
do not stay with the group. The males will move away when
they reach maturity. In a ring-tailedgestation period they can
go from four and a half in a month. Most often they will usually
have only one baby at a time. When food is plentifulthen they
will have twins. The mothers will even let her babies on her
stomach when they start to get older then they will start to ride
on their mothers back instead of their belly. The juvenileswill
start to be on their own when they are around 1 month of age
and they are fully weaned by 5 to 6 months of age.
Survival Status
The ring-tailedlemur is in endangered because of so many
human activities. Theirforests that they live in are starting to
get cut down so that peoplecan make room for farmlands or to
harvested that is used for charcoal production. They are also in
danger because they are getting captured so that the can be
sold as pets. The ring-tailed lemur is at high risk of going extinct
because they are getting hunted and they are also losing their
habitatsbecause so that people can make room for homes and
for towns. Lemurs are also in trouble because of slash-burn
agriculture. The other threat that lemurs are facing is that the
people’slivestock are eating the lemur’s food sources. People
are also cutting down trees so that they can make charcoal
productionall of these things are all threats to the ring-tail
lemur’s forest habitat. All of the lemurs that live in Madagascar
are totally being threatened that is because deforestation for
the industry and the plantations, slash and from agriculture and
in logging to. The ring-tailed lemurs can only survive in a small
forest that is called a primary forest which is totally
disappearingright now. The lemur’s habitat is starting to
disappearbecause of fires domestic livestock that is grazing all
over the lemur’s landsand they are also being logged to. The
ring-tailed lemurs are also being hunted to. The biggest threat
for the lemur is deforestation there are about 90% of them
living in the Madagascanjungles that are starting to get
destroyed. This means that their populationsare declining
rapidlywhich means that the lemurs do not have a lot of trees
to make a home.
Message from author
We must do something to help and to save these amazing
animals. These animalsneed all the help that they can get.
Lemurs have the right to continueliving on this planet. They are
doing their part in nature and we should find a place in nature
to. This is a really big planet that is filled with wonders and
discoveries that are just waiting to be found. We have to make
this planet a safe for us and for the other creatures that we
share it with. This is our beautifulhome it deserves to have a
second change to live on for the next generation on this planet.
There is a really big, bright and beautifulfuture if we find an
away to protect our planet then our world and our home will
be a much happier and a much cleaner place to live in. We have
to make room for the other living creatures to. God made
animalsfor a reason just like he made us. That is what I know
about lemurs. If we all work together we can save the lemurs
and other animalsthat live on this planet to. Together we can
make a difference in this beautifulplanetthat we all share.
Thank you so much for doing your part. With you reading and
enjoying this book. You are helpingyour favorite animaland its
survival in the world. Without your support and love and
respect. Your favorite animal will have a chance to make a
comeback. Thisis a huge thank you for helpingthese animals
and everything else that hasto do with nature. Nature it is very
important without nature our planetwill not be so beautiful
and full of wonder that can open a person’s eyes to world that
they never had imagined. Nature thanks you for your support.

A book on the lemur for lucas seltzer

  • 1. Diet Lemurs are herbivores which mean that they only eat plants. They can also be omnivores to and that means that they can eat both plantsand other animals. They can eat a whole variety of fruits, flowers and leaves. When they are eating meat they will often eat insects, spiders an very small vertebrates. They are mostly herbivores then omnivores because they will mostly eat plantsthen insects and spiders. They will also eat other foods to like they will eat berries, nuts and leaves as well. The other food that they will eat is insects and they will also eat spiders. Lemurs have a very omnivorousdiet. The food that the ring-tailed lemur will eat fruit, leaves, tree bark, sap and they will also eat flowers. When the ring-tailed lemur is dining on insects then they will use theirspecial footpadsthen they will start to move around the forested desert home (also known as the spiny forest. When these expert acrobatsare eating thorny plantsto help them to eat these plantsthey usuallypluck at them and they will also eat very small leaves to. That is what the ring-tailed lemur will eat. The ring-tailedlemur will also eat gum to. Lemurs will eat a whole variety of vegetation like flowers, fruit and leaves. Sometimes they can also eat insects and small vertebrates. When the ring-tailed lemur in a zoo then they will eat all different types of vegetation foods and they will also eat dry food to that is containingvital nutrients. The
  • 2. smaller species of lemur are mostly nocturnal and they will eat primarily fruit and they will also eat insects. The big species of lemur will often eat during the day. They will also eat different types of plantsto but the food that they will eat the most is when the lemur is hungry. There are some species of lemur that can also eat insects that can be very good for their diet. The ring-tailed lemur has an opportunisticeater. They will eat fruits, leaves and tamarind tree. A ring-tailedlemur will eat so many different types of plant species that it can be good for their diet. Those foods happen to be flowers, herbs, bark, and they will also eat sap to. They have been observed of eating wood, earth plants, spider webs, insect cocoons, they will also eat arthropodslike spiders and caterpillars, cicadasand they can also eat grasshoppers and small vertebrates. Habitat/Range They can get their food by surrounding the trees but the lemurs will often be on the forests floor by surrounding the trees but the lemurs will often be on the forests floor when they do not have any luck up in the trees. Lemurs live on an island that is called Madagascaran island that is off the south east coast that is right next to Africa. They can also live in a few neighboring
  • 3. islands. Lemurs can be found in all different environmentsthat also include rainforests scrub (areas that have really low trees and shrubs) they can also live on this islandthat is where they hang most of their day up in the trees. The ring-tailed lemur can be found on the south and on the southwest of Madagascar. Their habitatsthat they live on is spiny forests, dry scrub, and they can also live on deciduousand gallery forests. Madagascar can be found on the east coast of Africa. Sometimes they can be found in really small surround islandsthat also include the Comoros (that is where they are likely to introduce by humans). Size/Weight The size of the ringed-tailedlemur’s head and body can grow about 17.75in (45 cm), their tail can grow about 21.75 in (55 cm). They can weight about 5 to 7 lbs (2.3 to 3.4 kg). The ring- tailed lemur can grow about 15 – 18 inches long. That is how big their head and their body can grow about 5 to 7 lbs (2.3 to 3.4 kg). The ring-tailedlemur can grow about 15 to 18 inches long. The ring-tailed lemur can grow about 1.1 oz up about15 to 20 lbs that is for the biggest varieties. Theirwill usually weight about 440lbs. The length of the ring-tailed lemur is 37- 43 inches this is also includes the tail. They can weigh about 5 to 7 pounds. Lemurs are really medium sized primates the adultscan grow about 70 cm tall (that also includestheir tail)
  • 4. which can be often near a very long body of the lemur. A lemur’s body can be big as 16 inches (40 cm). Their tailscan be big as 2 feet (60 cm). They can weigh about 6 to 8 pounds(3- 3.5in). The length of their tail is 5-15.5 cm (2-6.1 in). They can weight about 0.5-3kg (1. 1-6.6 lb). The height of the head and the body of the ring-tailedlemur is 15 inches long. Theirtails can grow about22 to 24 inches long. They can weigh about between 5 to 8 pounds. The body and head length of a lemur is 12-21. 5in (30-55cm). The length of their tail is 10-25,5in (25-65 cm). Their body can grow about 18in (45 cm). Life span A ring-tailed lemur can live about 20 to 25 years. When they are in the wild then they can live about 20 years and when they are in captivitythen they can live about35 years. They can also live about 18 years or even longer than that. 1 interesting fact The ring-tailedlemurs live in a social group that is calleda troop these animalsare very social animals. The ring-tailed lemur is really a social animalthey live in a group that is called a troop it
  • 5. can hold about3 to 25 animalsin it. The troop will hold lots of males and females. The leaders of this are the females. To make their bondsstronger they will groom each other. When they are traveling then they will keep their tailsraised up high just like a flag this is how the group can tell where everyone is located at. Theirgroups can also hold about 5 to 22 animals. There is no mixed leaders in these groups the animalsthat are in charge is the females are the leadersof the males. Every group in the lemur troop has their very own territory and these territories are all in different groups that cannot overlap. The dominate females is to find the best locationswhere to look for food and a good places to sleep. The other job that they do is that they have to keep everyone in their place. A lemur group can even hold about 20 animalsto. The female usually takes control of the troop then the males do. There is usually a squabblethat breaks out between the males and the females. The females will usuallywin during the argument. The dominate female is usuallyresponsible for the group’s defense. The ring-tailstroops can live in a home range which often chance really dependson what food is available. The ring-tail lemur can defend their territory by the females marking the trees with their genital smears and the males will use a wrist gland to gounge so that their scent is into sapling. Their territory can big as 15 to 37 acres. Every different group has a different home range sometimes they can overlap. The lemur is
  • 6. the most social structure that is seldom that is seen among all mammals. A lemur’s troop will defend their territory against other troops. These troops will usuallyfight between both groups. The females are usuallyopposing the group they can do this by leapingand darting towards them. Females can mark trees with a very special sent that they will use to warn the intruders to tell them that the females have control over the group then the males do. The lemur group kind a have the same way that other primates do like they will feed and they will also groom each other. These animalsreally enjoy sleeping with each other. No one knows why lemur’s exhibit is a really rare form of social structure. A lemur can make a special howling sound that can be heard over a mile away. These lemurs love to groom each other because it keeps there bonds stronger. At the bottom of the teeth forms a comb that looks like a row that the lemur can use when it is grooming another member of the troop. A lemur will use their mouths to groom each other. 2 interesting fact Lemurs share their land with other animalsto like they will share it with brown lemurs, Boa constrictors, Eagles, Hawks and Fossas. Lemurs can communicate with each other with
  • 7. vocalizationsand their scent markings. The lemurs are one of the most primates that will use at least 15 different vocalizationsso that they can call for one call for aerial predators. They will also use theircontact calls to being the troop family together and they will make an alarm call that will be heard for the whole troop. Lemurs have very sharp claws that can be found on their feet they will use these claws to hold onto the tree branches so that the lemur can escape from predator like the fossa. The ring-tailed lemur can be really talkative. They can talk to each other with a whole variety of sounds like they will use whistles; grunts and they will also make a cat like sound like a meow. They will use this different type of sounds for greetings, territorial, expressions, and threats and for alarms to. The other way that lemurs can communicate with other animalsis they will use a special scent glandsthat is located on their wrists and on the bottoms that will leave a scent of trails on braches so that they can mark their territory. 3 interesting fact The lemur’s fingers and toes have a really soft broad on them they can also have flat nailsto this will allow them to grab onto an object and they also need to groom their nailsto and the
  • 8. other lemurs that is in their troop. The greatest predator that is in Madagascaris the fossa and this animalis one of the biggest predators that the lemurs have to face. The fossa’s favorite meal is lemurs. The fossa is a really stubborn and a very fast animalso most likely the lemurs will become food this predator. Thisis how a lemur can escape from getting eaten by a fossa the fast thing that they will do is reaction a lemur is very agile and this will allow the lemur to escape the fossa. Lemurs can talk to each other in alldifferent ways. There are some lemurs like the indri can make a loud wailing callsthey will use this call to protect their territory. The sifaka can use its sounds for its home range. They can also use a shi-fak call this noise kind a sounds like a hiccup. When it is time for them to go to bed they will make a meow sound. Lemurs love to sleep together. On how they sleep they will curl up with their tailsso that they can warm themselves during the night when they are sleeping. Responding The small lemurs will give birth to a lot of babies at once. The bigger species of lemurs will give birth to only one baby. When the babies are first born then the mother will carry her babies around with her. In wither month the mothers will let the baby
  • 9. cling onto her back. The other species of lemur will push their babies into a really safe place where they can find good food. The ring-tailedmother will give birth to only one or two babies. They will usuallygive birth during August though October they will usually have their young when they wet season starts. The newborn babies will start to ride on its mother’s belly in the first two weeks. After those weeks are over then they will start to ride on their mothers back. The younger’s will reach adulthoodwhen they are about two years old. Just like any other primate they are usuallyfairly-long lived. Both male and female will both reach maturity in about two and a half years. The males will get older before they are strong enough to win a breeding right. The mating season will start in April. When they are in the wild then the gestation period will be 134 to 138 days. The babies will start to be born in the months of August and in September. A single baby is really the one that happens more often. When there is a twin then it is not rare for the food that is plentiful.A lemur baby can weigh about three to four ounces (85-113 cm) the moment that they are born. The babies will start to cling onto the mother’s belly for the first two weeks. Then after those weeks then they will start to ride on the mother’s back. These babies will start to walk when they are four to five months. They are will start to eat normal food in two months. The females will stay in the group but the males do not stay with the group. The males will move away when
  • 10. they reach maturity. In a ring-tailedgestation period they can go from four and a half in a month. Most often they will usually have only one baby at a time. When food is plentifulthen they will have twins. The mothers will even let her babies on her stomach when they start to get older then they will start to ride on their mothers back instead of their belly. The juvenileswill start to be on their own when they are around 1 month of age and they are fully weaned by 5 to 6 months of age. Survival Status The ring-tailedlemur is in endangered because of so many human activities. Theirforests that they live in are starting to get cut down so that peoplecan make room for farmlands or to harvested that is used for charcoal production. They are also in danger because they are getting captured so that the can be sold as pets. The ring-tailed lemur is at high risk of going extinct because they are getting hunted and they are also losing their habitatsbecause so that people can make room for homes and for towns. Lemurs are also in trouble because of slash-burn agriculture. The other threat that lemurs are facing is that the people’slivestock are eating the lemur’s food sources. People are also cutting down trees so that they can make charcoal productionall of these things are all threats to the ring-tail
  • 11. lemur’s forest habitat. All of the lemurs that live in Madagascar are totally being threatened that is because deforestation for the industry and the plantations, slash and from agriculture and in logging to. The ring-tailed lemurs can only survive in a small forest that is called a primary forest which is totally disappearingright now. The lemur’s habitat is starting to disappearbecause of fires domestic livestock that is grazing all over the lemur’s landsand they are also being logged to. The ring-tailed lemurs are also being hunted to. The biggest threat for the lemur is deforestation there are about 90% of them living in the Madagascanjungles that are starting to get destroyed. This means that their populationsare declining rapidlywhich means that the lemurs do not have a lot of trees to make a home. Message from author We must do something to help and to save these amazing animals. These animalsneed all the help that they can get. Lemurs have the right to continueliving on this planet. They are doing their part in nature and we should find a place in nature to. This is a really big planet that is filled with wonders and discoveries that are just waiting to be found. We have to make this planet a safe for us and for the other creatures that we
  • 12. share it with. This is our beautifulhome it deserves to have a second change to live on for the next generation on this planet. There is a really big, bright and beautifulfuture if we find an away to protect our planet then our world and our home will be a much happier and a much cleaner place to live in. We have to make room for the other living creatures to. God made animalsfor a reason just like he made us. That is what I know about lemurs. If we all work together we can save the lemurs and other animalsthat live on this planet to. Together we can make a difference in this beautifulplanetthat we all share. Thank you so much for doing your part. With you reading and enjoying this book. You are helpingyour favorite animaland its survival in the world. Without your support and love and respect. Your favorite animal will have a chance to make a comeback. Thisis a huge thank you for helpingthese animals and everything else that hasto do with nature. Nature it is very important without nature our planetwill not be so beautiful and full of wonder that can open a person’s eyes to world that they never had imagined.
