1. The majority of the
people who answered the
survey are female. The
ratio being 3:4
(male:female). This
suggests that I should aim
my magazine more
towards females as there
is a larger audience for
them.
2. Most of the people who answered
the survey are between the age
range of 16-20 years old, showing
that this is the age range I should
use for my target audience. There
are no responses for people aged
over 20 which means that I should
keep all the layout, colours and
information in my magazine
current and appealing towards the
teenagers and 20 year olds. There
is only one response for the age
range 10-15, suggesting that there
is a possible target audience within
that specific age range, however I
will aim my magazine for the upper
end of teenagers.
3. The majority of the
respondents chose the
name “Unplugged” for
my alternative pop music
magazine. The minority
chose the name “Rhythm
Nation” possible because
it might slightly be too
long for the name of a
magazine. I will go with
the name “Unplugged”
as the title for my
magazine.
4. The colour scheme that
was chosen by 50% of
the people is red, black
and white which is the
colour scheme that I
will use for my
magazine, however I
will also include the
colour grey. 28.57% of
the people chose the
colour scheme to be
shades of blue and the
remaining 21.43%
chose the colour
scheme to be red, grey,
black, white and navy
blue.
5. The bar graph clearly
shows that all the
respondents would like
to see a balance of both
images and text (layout)
on the contents page.
0% are interested in
only images as some
written information is
needed. Also 0% are
interested in text only
with no images as it will
not be visually
appealing for the reader.
6. An equal amount of
people would like to
see an interview with
the artist or how the
artist came to be. I have
decided to do an
interview about the
artist so this satisfies
both parties and
combines both ideas
together.
