Outkast albums
1. Are there more Outkast albums to come in the near future? Fans sure hope so, I know I do. The multi-
platinum duo have been dropping little jewels here and there, but for the last decade or so have left
eager fans with much to desire. To date, they are ranked as one of the Greatest Artists of All Time by
multiple sources, as well as respected as one of the greatest hip-hop acts ever. Big titles from such their
humble beginnings in Decautr and Southwest Atlanta.
The duo first of the albums Outkast discography was Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. The album was
literally an instant hit and for the compilation, the duo received the coveted Best New Artist of the Year
from Source Magazine in the mid-1990s. They went on to release ATLiens next, which is now known as
one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time. While experimentation was seen on ATLients, in
Aquemini, the group really took a shift from their more street-focused sounds of the previous albums. It
was here that they began to shine as the next-level stars they would eventually become. And it was
here where they also began losing a few of their earlier, street-conscious fans from earlier, which Andre
3000 so vividly expresses in the song “Return of the G(angsta)”. Personally, Aquemini is by far my
favorite of Outkast albums, but that’s just me. After Aquemini came Stankonia, which gained massive
appeal with their smashes B.O.B and Ms. Jackson. By now it was clear that Outkast Singles, Outkast
Albums, and Outkast Music could almost do no wrong, but it was in Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, the
duo would reach levels only reached by few. Worldwide, the album sold platinum, making it one of the
highest selling albums of all time.
Over the next decade, the group started putting out music less consistently than before and there were
rumors that they had split. While Big Boi continued to promote the Outkast brand rocking concerts and
tours while venturing into other business deals outside of music, Andre 3000 stopped touring and live
performances altogether and began expressing more of his artistic ways in acting, fashion designing, and
creative writing/producing (being producer of the hit Cartoon Network show “Class of 3000”) as well as
a host of other things. Somehow, however, along the way they also managed to make a movie and
soundtrack, both called Idlewild. And even with all that was going on around them, they continued
dropping small gems here and there with cameos on songs over the next decade.
Around 2010, it was rumored that the duo would be getting back together to doing another long-
awaited Ouktast album. Big Boi was the first to drop is solo album, called Sir Luscius Left Foot Son of
Chico Dusty, in 2011. In 2011-2012, Andre 3000 has been featured on a number of hit songs and is
finishing up an album to drop soon. After that single, the duo will be coming back for a full release of
the next official Outkast album. If you want to know Outkast albums, go to this great site for more nice
