Embercombe Working Weekends are open to all, whether you are
                                              single, a couple, in a group or a family. You come and join us here
                                              at Embercombe and stay in the yurts or in the Gallery, a large
                                              shared space, or alternatively you can bring a tent. You will be
                                              involved in activities that have personal meaning and benefits both
                                              to you, our community and the charity. Everyone works along side
                                              by side to share skills, knowledge and stories.

                                              The weekend starts at around 6.30pm on the Friday and finishes at
                                              around 5pm on the Sunday. On Saturday morning at 9am everyone
                                              meets and introductions are made and the activities and tasks for
                                              the weekend are arranged.
                 What to bring
       Sleeping bag, rated for the season    We are situated west of Exeter just 3 miles from the A38, take the
       Extra blankets and/or hot water       Exeter Racecourse turning and head towards Dunchideock, after
        bottle                                about a mile and a half take a sharp left hand turning towards
       Pillow                                Ashton and Trusham, opposite a forestry car park, follow this road
       Towel                                 for another mile and a half and we are on the right hand side.
                                              Alternatively we do a pick up from Exeter St Davids Train Station on
       Warm Clothes in the winter
                                              the Friday at 6.30pm and will drop you back at the station leaving
       Waterproofs, including leggings       Embercombe between 4 and 5pm on Sunday afternoon.
       Strong and waterproof shoes
        or wellies
       Warm hat in the winter, sunhat for
        the summer
       Good torch, a head torch is great
       Eco Friendly Toiletries
       Personal drinking bottle
       Indoor shoes or slippers unless you
        are happy with just socks

We all eat and cook together and the cost of the    15th—17th June
weekend is a suggested contribution of £10 per                           Council Weekends
day and less for children dependent on their age,                         Council Elections
just to cover the cost of food and wood.
