Eltek and our Americas Region President Allen Pitts named as one of the 2014 industry game changers in this article published in February 2014.
"Those who influence with knowledge and character rather than a big booming voice. Those who know their area of expertise like the back of their hands WHILE they constantly seek to learn and conquer new opportunities across the telecom industry. Game Changers are those who lead by example and walk their talk."

Allen Pitts
President, Americas Region
Eltek
In 2014, we will continue to
expand our offering with the
goal of solving the power pains
for telecom service providers.
High efficiency is important to
save providers money on
energy costs, but it’s also
renewable energy sources
with HE power conversion and
with controller technology that
expands monitoring and
testing capabilities.
As a company, we’ve
changed too, streamlining our

the new normal until the next innovation is
presented or the next discovery is made.
The key is to remain innovative.”
important to look at saving in
the areas of space, labor and
time. We’re constantly looking
at new ways to solve these
problems and the Flatpack S is
our most recent answer. We’ve
shipped close to 1 million
Flatpack2 high efficiency (HE)
rectifier modules and we’re
looking to do the same with this
next-generation product.
What does it mean to be
innovative?
Innovation truly means
solving a problem in a way no
one’s ever done before. The
consumer or customer may not
even know there was a problem
that needed solving, but as soon
as you solve it, the light bulb
goes on and everyone wants
one. Eventually, what was
innovative becomes the new
normal until the next innovation
is presented or the next
discovery is made. The key is
to remain innovative. Staying
innovative is a critical success
factor, particularly in telecom
where some of the brightest
minds in the world showcase
their ingenuity.

What’s the most important
innovation your company
has created and deployed
in the last year? Any new
innovations you can share
that we should look for in
2014?
Are you consistent in your
commitment to change?
Our most important
innovation has been our
Flatpack S rectifier technology.
At 47 watts per cubic inch, it is
the most power-dense rectifier
ever developed by anyone.
There is more power packed
into each cubic inch of that
rectifier than any rectifier that
has come before it, which
means that service providers
can put power into places they
couldn’t previously, including
small cells and limited-space
applications.

Our ongoing innovation is
just one of the ways that we’ve
demonstrated our commitment
to change.
This year’s Flatpack S
high-density product is the
latest in a string of innovations
that started in 2008 when we
introduced the industry’s first
high-efficiency rectifier. Since
then, we’ve continued to
advance this technology, for
example, by integrating
business by divestiture and
constant re-evaluation of our
product lines to ensure that
we’re focused on the right
applications.
The start of our commitment
to change comes from our
consistent commitment to
accept change. We see the
effects of sudden change from
two perspectives: first from the
perspective of our customers,
as we are a DC power provider
to all the top-tier service
providers in telecom, but also
from changes within the power
industry itself. As we’re forced
to react quickly to those
changes, it keeps us ever
mindful to be flexible in our
business so that we can better
respond to change. Our
innovations are also a representation of that effort by helping to
minimize the amount of change
our customers must absorb.
