• “What inspired you to become a rapper/drummer?”
• “I began drumming when I was like 6 on this little children’s drum set, I would always go around just banging on it but when I started watching shows
on television like Fresh Prince of Belair, Kenan and Kel etc I started drumming and trying to fit in words in between the beats like even if it didn’t make
sense, I was at least spitting something and this was like the basis of my music”
• “Have you performed on stage and if so how do you feel?”
• “Well my first ever performance was in my secondary school, Cumberland, this is where I started to take music more seriously. It was in year 9’s
summer talent show and all my friends were encouraging a sarcastic joke I made in the playground, I was like ‘let me spit yeah, you man ready’ and I
started and I was doing okay, my friends said I should go to the talent show so I did. That time not everyone knew my music so the crowd wasn’t all
that but when I perform in front of more people that I know people rapped along and at least tried to get into my music and the flow more. It made
the experience more worth the while for me, it boosts your confidence and makes you feel more achieved and more happy about what you’re doing, I
mean even when its only me and like 2 or 3 of my friends that start rapping my songs or make reference to the context, that indicates that they
actually listen to my music and that is something I’m grateful for.”
• “How do you plan your music career?”
• “I’m planning to expand my music into a more broadened horizon, so I’ll start producing instrumentals and maybe try to sell them to other artists like
myself or to just do them for myself. I mean right now I’m taking a music course at Leyton Sixth Form College so I’m doing good so far I guess”
• “That’s awesome *chuckle*, we want someone to represent East London’s music movement, how do you feel about being that person?”
• “I feel honoured to be featured in your magazine, I’m trying to get somewhere strictly through music without selling any drugs or anything like that,
people’s perception on doing music for a living is always that you won’t make it if you’re not from the US but we see a lot of other artists from
London” making their way up but none from East London yet, well from my area, Prince Regent and I want to be the 1st.”
